Lawrence Taylor Scandals: Which Was The Worst? (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 07/07/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 05:25 PM ET

Lawrence Taylor was one of the most dominating linebackers in NFL history, but he has also led a troubled life off the field. On Thursday, Taylor was arrested for third-degree rape of a 16-year-old runaway and third-degree patronizing of a prostitute. This incident, of course, was not the first time Taylor has run afoul of the law. Here is a look back at some of Taylor's lowest points of his career.

The life of the American athlete. Life of entitlement. If this were you, you would have been in jail 10 yrs ago.

The man has lived a very reckless life. However, new reports came out that the pimp told the girl to lie about her age.

Maybe he should have been kept in prison around the third time he was caught with crack cocaine. Perhaps he wouldn't have been able to rape that young woman if he were behind bars.
I don't know, that seems rational to me.

The person who posted this blog needs their head examined. (And I would bet everything I own that it's a man!) There is no question here. If he had hurt anyone when he was driving drunk or in a crack rage then there would be something to ponder. I'm horrified at the lack of regard for women to this day. We really haven't come that far, have we... ?

Do you really have to ask? Raping a 16 year old or drug related problems? Wow, I hope that's not too hard of a call for anyone.
I'll go with the one that's probably going to land his butt in prison for a significant amount of time.

Excuse me while I light my spliff on this issue: Lord knows I need it for this one!

FIRST I feel bad for the victim and NOT so much for the accuser. While some of us my choose to chastise the victim and question her motives and poor judgment, the fact is, some people do not use commonsense wisely which both the victim and the accuser is guilty of. As a man, I have no regards for any one who gets involve with soliciting prostitutes, escort service especially if you already have a wife/girlfriend /fiancée.

Lawrence Taylor have a lone history of screwing-up and implementing poor judgment. As a matter of fact 14 Times, and this is only the ones that became public. Since 1998 LT has never gone 2 years straight without some type of run in with the law. Fortunately for him he has never serve any significant jail time if any at all.

When Big Ben got in trouble recently, I wish and hope none of it is true, I wish the same thing for LT. However, in LT case I compelled to ask, how many screw-ups you need before reality struck home for you to straighten up and fly right? I think this time the ball gets fumble on the 1 yard line and play time expire. His goose is cooked!

Sad story of a talented guy with fame and money, given so much help to overcome his cocaine addiction. The problem was LT was filled with entitlement-his self indulgence has created scenario after scenario where he has broken the law. He admitted to a $1000 a day prostitution habit in 2004. He is the one who goes looking for trouble-he sets himself up. He asked for a prostitute with a specific description. He got that-along with an arrest for statutory rape. Now he is poorer-an attorney to pay for and his arrest cost him his Nutrisystems endorsement. His vices cause lots of collateral damage. Never too late to start acting like a man instead of like a demolition team.

What about 3 strikes and You are out? Any other regular individual would have been locked up and the keys thrown away....unless there is something else to this. Wasn't he just recently on DWTS? Maybe this incident will knock some sense into his his big head (not allowed to wear his footbal helmet when knocking the sense into him) and hopefully he will think it thru! Good luck buddy on bettering your life.

You'd think someone would look back on their life and try to make it somewhat better when an online newspaper is ranking your biggest scandals.

It’s no longer possible to excuse Lawrence Taylor for bad behavior and terrible choices.

I definitely don't believe Lawerence would knowingly sleep with a underage girl. He's spent a long time trying to get his life in check. A pimp beat the girl and told taylor she was 19. I don't know how many guys ask for a drivers license before sex. Who knows the girl may have looked 19 and didn't tell Lawerence her real age.

The only thing Taylor should be charged with is soliciting a prostitute for sex. The other stuff is not on him
