Congrats, internet! We did it! The Betty White episode in the books and seeing her grace the Studio 8H stage was a delight. And joining her for the momentous episode was a murderers' row of amazing SNL women: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, and Rachel Dratch.

The show was filled with highlights right from the start. The cold open featured Betty in the recurring "Lawrence Welk Show" sketch - always a showcase for the female cast members. And seeing all the ladies together, surrounding their comedy godmother was a fitting way to kick things off.

Betty then came out for her monologue, getting her much deserved spotlight. While she was thrilled that Facebook was to thank for the special night, she proceeded to rip on everyone's favorite time-waster. "In my day, seeing pictures of people's vacations, was considered a punishment." Gold.

As anyone who reads HuffPost Comedy regularly knows, we're not shy about our love for both Betty and Tina Fey. Needless to say, the census sketch was awesome, with White nailing the role of crazy resident. It gave Christopher Walken's classic a run for its money.

And one more you. Why not? Molly Shannon and Anna Gasteyer were back, so obviously it'd be weird if they didn't reprise their double entendre wielding NPR hosts. Betty joined them and got in on the action, showing off her tender muffins.

I love Betty White. The monologue and the census skit were great. The muffin skit was tedious.

Although I had a good laugh through that episode and Betty White played her parts well, the "shock" sex humor from an 88yo woman got old by the end. It was funny at first but SNL beat it to death. Overall a good episode though.

SNL beats everthing to death. Their writing philosophy seems to be never do a one-minute sketch when you can pad it out to 5. or never use 10 words when 100 will do. I don't wath it much anymore. When watching a dragged out skit becomes a matter of endurance, waiting, hoping the next one will be different, I just shut it off. To much like Bilbo wearily plodding through the swamp chapter.

I love Betty White she is a national treasure. However, the skits she did in SNL were beneath her. The SNL writers could not have the decency to Class Up the scripts for the lovely lady. She deserved better.

Were we to expect anything else from this current generation of SNL writers. We have seen their lack of creativity and comical ability in the past, but that episode was painful.

Oh, please! The Golden Girls had sexual humor in it and White herself played the nympho on Mary Tyler Moore. Don't be such a puritan!

People need to reel it in. Betty White was OK on SNL, but Maya Rudolph doing Whitney Houston......now THAT was hilarious.

SNL has been off my radar for more than a year, but I couldn't resist watching BW last Saturday. It was a great show and her performance was fantasic. Way to go, Betty!

I am so glad she did this! They should have her back - she was so funny... Betty White = America's Grandma. My favorite was the Census sketch.
