*Editor's note: thank you to the commenters who have pointed out that "first lady" is not the official title of the British Prime Minister's wife. We are, however, using the title loosely when referring to the spouse of a world leader--unless that spouse is a man, in which case we may use "First Gentleman." If you have other ideas, we'd love to hear them!
As of today, the United Kingdom has a new prime minister: 43-year-old David Cameron moves to 10 Downing Street with a stylish--and may we say Carla Bruni lookalike?--wife, Samantha. The couple has two children (their severely disabled 6-year-old son Ivan died last year), with another due in September.
With her love of bright sheaths and a cinched waist, the 39-year-old creative director of stationery firm Smythson of Bond Street, who has done some modeling, shares a similar style sensibility to Michelle Obama, while her passion for platform pumps reminds us of Princess Letizia. Vote below for your favorite look, and we'll look forward to the many first lady fashion face-offs to come.
