As the weather gets (gradually) warmer and memorial day approaches, the region's national parks will inevitably start to swell with visitors. Nearly 3 million visitors are expected to visit Rocky Mountain National Park alone this year.
With that in mind, we decided to take a look at some of the national parks and monuments in the region with lower attendance, but just as much to offer. From the reservoirs at Curecanti to the artifacts at Canyon de Chelly, these parks offer some of the most unique outdoor experiences in the country without the crowds.
