Bret Michaels Celebrity Apprentice

NEW YORK — Rock star Bret Michaels will get to play the final round of "The Celebrity Apprentice."

The Poison frontman passed muster with host Donald Trump on Sunday's edition and he'll be back for next week's live conclusion. Michaels will square off against actress Holly Robinson Peete to settle who wins the NBC reality competition.

Fired Sunday were wrestler-model Maria Kanellis, Australian chef Curtis Stone, and rock-star wife and TV personality Sharon Osbourne.

"I came in here as a complete underdog," Michaels crowed after hearing the good news in Trump's boardroom. "You know what everyone's mistake was? They so underestimated me!"

Michaels' presence in the series, which through Sunday's episode had been taped months ago, stoked viewer interest after he suffered a brain hemorrhage in April that left him in intensive care. He has since been released from a Phoenix hospital. His doctor has said he is expected to make a full recovery.

The current season of "Celebrity Apprentice" began airing in March with 14 contestants, each competing in business-oriented tasks around Manhattan to raise money for (and publicize) their favorite charities.

Michaels, who as a child was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, chose the American Diabetes Association. Robinson Peete's charity is her HollyRod Foundation, whose mission is to support families who have a loved one with a serious medical condition. She has a son diagnosed as autistic.

Bret, has worked hard on the apprentice and his sickness will not give him no slack and I think he would want it that way---he seems to be that type of person. I am glad he is better and so many prayers went up for him--he will be okay he is a winner either way. I am sure he looks at life a lot different and knowing you can be taken out of this life with a snap of a finger. Good luck to him and his family, we wish them the best. May the best person win on the apprentice which we watch all the time--one of our favorites..

I agree. Bret all the way! The guy actually won both his tasks, was a strong teammate as well as manager. Holly lost two tasks, the creative element of the task she won, made poor concept decisions and wasn't able to manage the difficult yet gifted members of her team (Cyndi). Fire Holly! Should have been done when she lost her first task. Bret shows that you can be completely fair and giving and still win.

Brett was on Regis and Kelly when the show first started and said that you should watch the show early because he isn't on for long. LOL My husband and I were fooled because each week we would think, this is the week he's getting voted off. Look at him now. Brett was definitely my fav on the show and so happy that he made it to the end.

I agree Holly was a bitch but Cyndi Lauper was so annoying playing the martyr. Her excuses were annoying...one of the most annoying was, she couldn't raise money because she didn't have rich friends got old real quick. She definitely has talent but that doesn't mean she shouldn't have been voted off. The only thing she brought to each task was her name.

I prefer the original Apprentice. This is the first season of Celebrity Apprentice that I have kept up with. I love Brett. I believe he is a genuinely sweet person. And I like Holly. I'm glad they are the final two. I don't know why there are so many Holly haters. Sharon Osborne was the obnoxious mean one. But anyway, I'm so happy he survived and I cannot wait to see him at the finale. I hope Trump will make it nice and not tacky.

Because Holly was a royal b,itch to Cyndi Lauper throughout the season. Unfortunately for Holly, Cyndi is far more talented than she and she made a fool out of herself for not recognizing such.

Okay so you're a Cindy Lauper fan. That's fine. Cyndi got on a lot of people's nerves. Even Brett told Trump that Cyndi should be the one to go home over Holly. And that wrestler woman-whatever her name is-told Cyndi that she had idolized her as a child but her perception of her was ruined because of how Cyndi acts. So don't act like Holly was the only one with problems with Cyndi. Trump fired Cyndi because he wanted to.

Do these sorts of shows have any real purpose?

I'm more inclined to notice other things. For example, did you know that d'Doudesstrof zu Lëtzebuerg fir d'lescht de 24. Februar 1949 ausgeféiert gouf, 1979 per Gesetz ofgeschaf gouf an 1999 an der Verfassung festgehale gouf, dass se net méi agefouert kéint ginn?

My brain bleeds every time I see Holly on TV... she's unbearable. I can't imagine having to deal with her on a daily basis.

If you remember, I told you not to count Michaels out. Diabetics are a tough lot. Congrats Michaels on your speedy recovery. You continue to champion the fight against diabetes.

Oprah even asks the tough questions, including: Why he was wearing his bandanna in the hospital? His response: "I said, 'If I'm going out, I want to go out rockin'.'"
