Bristol Palin Signs Deal For Up To $30,000 Per Speech

Bristol Palin has signed with a speakers bureau for a tidy sum of between $15,000 and $30,000 per speech, RadarOnline reports.

[UPDATE: Palin family attorney Thomas Van Flein confirmed with the AP that Bristol Palin has signed a deal with the bureau and that is indeed her fee range, but said the cost may be adjusted based on her target audience and the preparation required for a particular speaking engagement.]

Palin is indeed listed as "NOW AVAILABLE FOR SPECIAL APPEARANCES" at Single Source Speakers, although the company website does not disclose her speaking fee. A call to SSS founder Ron Miller wasn't immediately returned, but here's Palin's capsule biography:

Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin's oldest daughter, took the country by storm practically overnight when she was introduced to Americans during the 2008 presidential campaign. Her teen pregnancy and the birth of her son Tripp, resulted in millions of Americans discussing the issues surrounding teen pregnancy. Bristol has since gone on to become a Teen Ambassador for the Candie's Foundation, and speaks about pregnancy prevention, abstinence, faith and life. She recently appeared on the ABC drama "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and is working on her first book.

Palin's listed programs include "Abstinence," "Conference," "Fundraiser," "Pro-Life," "Special Event/Holiday," "Women's," and "Youth" -- She also looks to be the relatively new bureau's highest-profile speaker to date, except perhaps for Drew Brees.

That's a whole lot of comments. Geez, these Palins sure draw a crowd!!!
Bristol Palin deserves every chance she has to make a positive difference and make the best of a very difficult situation. Like many teens, she has made some big mistakes albeit on a NATIONAL LEVEL. She has owned them. She is now living with those choices. Why begrudge her an opportunity to make a difference and/or a living for herself and her child. Do you haters know her personally? If she is of no significance why are you so nasty about her?

Make a difference! Are you kidding me!??? She is now the poster child for cashing in. They should be giving $30,000 to a teen mother in the hood who grew up struggling to stay alive and finding a way to make ends meet. This young woman has never and will never want for anything. She is essentially showing other teens that you can become famous and make a fortune by having unprotected sex and getting pregnant. The Palins draw a crowd because most of us cannot believe people find them to be credible spokespeople for our nation. For the love of God, folks, how have we lost our national soul?

Dear ecmdmary,
I hear your points.. yes, that is one way to look at it. I suspect we will see what Ms. Palin really does with this opportunity. Thinking that because her family has $$ doesn't mean she will want for nothing? Your last sentence is interesting--you ask "For the love of Gold, folks, how have we lost our national soul?" I would suspect that there isn't much "love of God" in the harsh human judgements being hurled her way.
Seems to me that our National Soul has FORGOTTEN what the love of God really means and represent. Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness, . . .forgive others as you would forgive yourself . . . this young woman has made poor choices and owns them.

God love and bless you Bristol Palin. May you experience all the love, forgiveness, grace and mercy THAT YOU GIVE TO OTHERS. Only the Lord knows what is in your heart and can judge your actions. Use this opportunity wisely and to glorify him. Don't expect others to recognize or reward you--it is what is in your heart that matters.

The public will and has judged this young woman harshly. Hope she rises above this and does something positive for others. Good luck Bristol--may Gods love and words guide you.

Good to see she's getting more for her one night stands now. I'm sure it's very enlightening.. Not! The acorn obviously doesn't fall far from the tree.
