Kamilla Wladyka Airbrushed To Look Heavier For Healthy Magazine (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 05/17/2010 2:33 pm Updated: 05/25/2011 4:30 pm

Model Kamilla Wladyka was airbrushed to look heavier on the cover of April's "Healthy" Magazine, the Daily Mail UK reports. Wladyka, a British size 6 with a 24-inch waist had between "half a stone" and three added onto her thin frame according to various accounts.

The editor of "Healthy" Jane Drunker said Wladyka looked fine during casting but was way too skinny a week later when the photos were taken.

"There were plenty of clothes that we couldn't put on her because her bones stuck out too much," Druker said. "She looked beautiful in the face, but really thin and unwell."

Eleni Renton of Leni's Model Management said that Wladyka should have been sent home from the shoot, instead of Photoshopped to look healthier.

You call that heavy? In this day and age, heavy is Rush Limbaugh.

Oh, and one more thing:

A 2010-re vonatkozó célkitűzést később a Fenntartható Fejlődés Világcsúcs is elfogadta.”

She looks like she has an eating disorder or a drug problem. I know several naturally skinny people and they do NOT look like photo number 2. I agree that she looks like she is from a concentration camp. It's only my opinion but that is NOT sexy!

She is pretty but wow! She looks like she could be close to death in that second photo.

Too bad this is what women do to themselves in the name of a career.

She looks like a skin suit hanging from a collarbone coat hanger and she's got knuckles for hipbones. Healthy is when you can smack yourself on the arse without getting a huge bruise and hip fracture. I'm not even asking for models with healthy curves, baby steps, just give us models without protruding bones for starters.

Hahaha. Let's take bone thin models and airbrush them heavier, instead of finding a far more common heavier woman to model.

would have cost them less money if they have hired a "healthy" model instead.

Don't you find it odd, Atchka, when men feel the need to tell you how much sex they're allegedly having?

Not so much odd since odd implies uncommon. Just really, really sad. If you have to prove your masculinity to others by boasting of your sexual conquests, then you're overcompensating for *something*.

Peace,

How about STOPPING with the EMACIATED Models with the figures of 14 year old BOYS!!!!

How about using a 'healthy' model instead?

And here's what I don't get - they say she is a 6. I am a six US, but significantly 'larger'. She looks like a 0 or -2.

Just wondering what on earth "Healthy" Magazine was thinking to even hire a model who has the hip bones and stomach (second picture) of a famine victim? Because nothing says "natural health" than someone who looks like they haven't eaten a healthy meal in 2 years.
12:43 PM on 05/18/2010
Just goes to show you that even the groups that profess a good message are just plain fakes and selling a tainted product just like everybody else. Somebody putting together this cover knew exactly who they hired and knew adjustments need to be made in order to sell their product to the naive public.

If you're going to wear a crocheted piece of dental floss, I guess your bones should be sticking out a bit. This is sad. One model told to lose weight and this one photoshopped into a healthy look. What is wrong with the modeling world?
02:29 PM on 05/18/2010
designers know it's cheaper to use less fabric and only the real talented ones know how to cut designs for a woman's figure. No curves, no problem, just cut straight lines. Curves require skill. not rocket science. the fashion industry is a scam.

I agree with many here - they should have simply hired a healthy woman - they do exist. But I hope that this is the beginning of a trend towards healthy looking women being held up as attractive as opposed to women who look like they are victims of famine with lots of make-up.

Some girls just have naturally smaller/bonier frames too. It looks like shes naturally thinner perhaps, but she maybe also not eat as much as she could. She's pretty and just from these photos I wouldn't judge her. They should've just used a bigger girl. She looks naturally slender. Also I dont see where they airbrushed her.. shes covered in clothes. lol.
