Three MORE Bodies Found In Trunk On South Side

UPDATED STORY:

Just weeks after the bodies of three beaten men were discovered in a stolen car on the Southwest Side, three more bodies were found in the trunk of a vehicle about two miles away early Tuesday.

The Chicago Tribune reports that three adult bodies were found by police in a Toyota Avalon about 7 a.m. near 48th and South Whipple streets in an industrial area.

Two bodies were in the back seat and a third in the trunk, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. All three were bound and gagged.

On April 21, the bodies of three men--two of them brothers--were found in a stolen and abandoned Pontiac Grand Prix. The men had been beaten to death, and a family member of one of the victims told the Chicago Tribune that one of them had been involved in illegal activities.

Police told the Tribune the incidents do not appear to be related at this stage.
