Anita Borg Institute's Women Of Vision Award Honors Kristina Johnson, Lila Ibrahim, Kathleen McKeown (PHOTOS)

The Anita Borg Institute celebrated three female leaders in technology at its fifth annual Women of Vision awards banquet.

The organization, which seeks to increase the impact of women on technology, honored Kristina Johnson, Kathleen McKeown, and Lila Ibrahim with a Women of Vision award for their achievements in one of three areas: Innovation, Leadership, or Social Impact.

Leadership award-winner Kristina Johnson currently serves as the Under Secretary for Energy at the Department of Energy.

Kathleen McKeown, Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University and the recipient of the Innovation award, said she hopes young women "see through my example that it is possible to be a woman and succeed in academics."

The winner of the Social Impact award was Lila Ibrahim, currently the the General Manager of the Emerging Markets Platform Group at Intel Corporation, who reflected, "pioneering (to change the world) can be lonely and frustrating."

Arianna Huffington, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post, gave the keynote speech at the event.
