Paterson Won't Let Lawmakers Attend Party Conventions

Gov. Paterson threw cold water on the convention plans of Democrats and Republicans Tuesday.

Fed up with the lack of progress in state budget negotiations, Paterson said he'd call special sessions of the Legislature for next week and the week after to keep lawmakers in Albany instead of attending the Democratic and Republican nominating conventions.
