Lance Armstrong CRASH (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 05/20/10 06:41 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 05:30 PM ET

Lance Armstrong has suffered an eventful Thursday. Overnight, former (temporary) Tour de France winner Floyd Landis accused Armstrong of doping, a charge the seven-time champion denied in a meeting with reporters. But the day was just getting started for Armstrong.

Later on, the cyclist crashed while racing in the Tour of California. A spokesman told the AP that Armstrong received stitches near an elbow and an eye and was sent to the hospital for X-rays.

The crash ripped the saddle from his bike? A lot of energy to break a seat post or rip a seat off.
can’t wait to hear what happened.

The EPO from 1999 in his test is interesting because the metabolites of EPO can stay in the body for up to a year. Curiously, EPO was given to Armstrong as part of his cancer treatment so he could recover. After 1999, EPO was never again detected.

Here's a novel thought. All of Armstrong's major competitors in all of his Tour de France victories have been caught doping. Consequently, if Armstrong was doping it still would have been a level playing field. Thus he was still the best rider in the Tour. I know it's perverted logic but so what.

Wow, look at all that autologously donated blood seeping from his left eye.

Lance Armstrong is a smug jerk who took performance enhancing drugs. It was definitely karma!

And since ALL racers crash often...

I'm sure this has been pointed out by others, but in case not, photo 2 is NOT Lance Armstrong, but rather, Chechu Rubiera (http://www.chechurubiera.info/), long-time domestique for Lance and company with USPS, Discovery Channel, Astana, and now RadioShack. He is a class act, and a brave team rider.

Rubiera took a beating in that crash..... that road rash on his thigh looks brutal... would make a ride really miserable, not to mention a race.

horrible headline hp... the two are independent issues. the allegations by Floyd Landis were in regards to the Tour de France from the days of US Postal. The Tour of California is not an event where Armstrong is the head guy on the team.... Levi Leipheimer is ...

Well, I guess he won't be tested after this race.

Do you understand anything about the testing cyclists are required to participate in? Doesn't seem so.....
10:28 PM on 05/21/2010
No, FL is NOT lying.... let's "talk" again in about a month, at most. I don't appreciate your kind of argument -- don't argue with fame & status.
Yeah, that's why we have the mess we have now.
For folks who want to inform themselves, see the other discussions here at HuffPo on this topic. Several posters have provided links to EVIDENCE.

This discussion should not be a forum for American Idol-ization!!

And seriously... shouldn't be a forum dedicated to running down a rabbit hole..... Armstrong has never had a test come back positive.

Neither did Floyd before 2006.

So provide the evidence....

Here's a great compedium of testimonies from people pointing to Lance Armstrong doping. The stuff said by Walsh and Betsy Andreu is overwhelming. http://cozybeehive.blogspot.com/2009/11/8-things-on-lance-armstrong-from-other.html

Thomas, thank you so very much for these links. The detail and the content are beyond disturbing. Lance is going down, no doubt. Very sad.
As you can see from a number of the posts here, some just don't like facts getting in the way; you are SO very fanned for providing this amazing link. See also, below, the post from Rocketrobinnm (which I am also fanned; there IS MORE EVIDENCE, and some don't want anything, anything a'tall to get in their way.

THANK YOU!!

That was awesome.

Yo Lance, the truth has long been known that you are just a raging, little sissy megalomaniac !

Its alittle bit of blood, Little Bicycle Rider, man up !

hahahahaha

Awesome!

Kind of tacky Huff Post, to have your "rate this photo" montage here. A guy crashed his bike and was injured and bleeding. Isn't this beneath you? Maybe not....

I assume the photo rating sidebar is added automatically whenever they set up a slide show and not done deliberately. It's there whenever they use the slide show format, even for boring stuff like pictures from campaign stops.

I'm sure Tiger Woods is on his knees praying that Lance is doping. That is about the only thing that would take the spotlight off of him. Not even the scariest economy since the depression or the worst ecological disaster ever can get Woods a break. That's right - I said the worst ecological disaster ever. And Tiger and Lance still pull down the headlines.
