Elin Nordegren Divorce Demands Reach $750 Million: Report

Elin Nordegren has dramatically escalated her demands during negotiations over a possible divorce agreement with Tiger Woods, Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. According to the columnist, Woods' wife is seeking full custody of the couple's children and "an estimated $750 million package."

Zwecker writes that Tiger has demanded a strict -- and lifelong -- confidentiality clause that would bar her from disclosing information about their marriage in interviews or books.

It was previously reported that Woods and Nordegren are working toward a joint-custody arrangement, a rumor that was circulated before a new report alleged that the two are no longer speaking to each other.

The last time I checked, she cannot get more than 50% of her husband's estate accrued during the time that they were married. I don't think 750million even comes close to what that would be. I guess, she is portraying herself a money hungry ex!

Once again "commonsense" is invaluable, especially in lieu of some of these unfortunate comments. Tiger would never have made the multimillions in endorsements if his true character and sordid activities were publically known.

His marriage to a gorgeous Swedish model, mother of his two babies, helped define his squeaky clean All-American image. But, his marriage has clearly been a fraud, and Elin has been the victim of that fraud. And she was repeatedly exposed to the potential for dangerous STDs from all those 120 skanky women. And, because of medical privacy laws, we'll probably never know if Tiger did infect his wife with an STD; but I wouldn't be at all surprised, given what's been reported, if something like that is involved in this large settlement request. In any event, the extent of his cheating is EPIC.

Whatever, Elin was a victim of egregious exploitation for profit (as were his kids, I might add), so this "underachiever" argument doesn't hold water. She was made to be a tool in Tiger's elaborate plans to keep his fake spotless public life and sordid private exploits separate and secret. She deserves every penny (and every million) that her unknowingly fraudulent role as the wholesome wife played in the ongoing profits Tiger gained while leading a double life.

There some problems with your post, first off the final settlement will be nowhere near this 750 million figure due to a prenuptial agreement. Second the only person who earned income during the marriage was Tiger. Third the children's well being was never in doubt as they will be well provided for by both parents. Fourth Tiger's personal spending habits are very conservative for someone of his means, there is no evidence that he spent much money on the other women. You might be confusing this scandal with Eliot Spitzer who used the services of high end prostitutes.

Problems with your post, too. First, the term 'mutual assets' acquired during the marriage are always taken into consideration. Eldrick 'aka Tiger' made a deal thru attorney Gloria Allred for the silence of at least one mistress-very doubtful it was a small amount.

Prenups are made to be broken as a case can be made that Tiger did not marry Elin in good faith, that in fact he committed fraud as he was cheating on his wife from the very start, endangering her life as well as her children's lives with the potential transfer of deadly sexual deceases and by getting involved with such a large amount of women any one of which could be deranged, and incited to violence against Elin or her children to gain Tiger's freedom for themselves, it's happen many times before in this country.
Also, if Tiger doesn't want a trial or for Elin to divulge all she knows and all she's suffered because of her husband, Tiger will indeed pay the extra money and rightly so. Elin deserves it and I'm betting she's going to get it.

Really it’s up to the judge if he or she believes the prenuptial agreement was fraudulent and not made in good faith by Tiger. If I were the judge, I would consider that contract null and void.

I have contended that the 750 million demand (if factual) would be just a jumping off point for negotiations, but that the settlement will be, and should be huge. What I'd like to see is Elin and the children very well taken care of and for Elin to get a king's ransom for a confidentiality agreement, and after being handed the check, she turns to Tiger and says, " while I appreciate your generosity, I just want you to know that although I think you are lower than snake $hit, you are the father of my children, and I never, ever, would have ratted you out...but thanks for the check."

20M for original pre-nup
20M for no intention of honoring it from inception (which could invalidate it)
30M bc of ms uchlitel's 10M payout (punitive 3x)
10M to match other mistre/sses payments
10M for 120 woman list from the clinic
10M for not including the just just barely at best 18year old neighbor sha/gged (14 when they met, hmm dont ask)
50M for immediate kids trust fund (25 each)
oh yeah, and 250M to not spill the HGH beans, which would hurt all of them financially)

she'll give a 25%discount on the HGH, which brings the total to 325M, likely made in installments, the first being 100M+50(kids)

Tiger isn't legally obligated to pay anything beyond fulfilling the prenuptial agreement and child support. He might add more for a confidentiality clause buts that's it. European VAT tax would be Elin's problem if she chooses to live there.

The real issue here is, what is the value of a non-transferable asset to an under achieving spouse.
Education, a professional license and Tigers golf talent are all non-transferable assets. What Elign is requesting ( like many under -achievers) is monetary exchange of a non-transferable asset based on her BRIEF association with Woods. Moreover, for five years of marriage that would around 1825 days. She views her "valued" contribution to the union to around 4-5 million per night!

I'm sorry, please, remind me. A good mother? Probably, but they had maids! Secondly, a good mother will think about his children and not expose everything going on in their potential divorce to the public. Tiger has acknowledged that he is not a good father. Let's face it, if Tiger was not rich, his wife would not have married him! Don't forget that, about two, three years ago, some alleged naked pictures of Tiger's wife came out. The story was buried and we were told that it was not her. What if it was indeed Tiger's wife and Tiger buried the exposure with money? Do you think that Tiger can resurrect that issue and use it as a leverage if the wife tries to play hardball? I do not know, and neither does anyone else know, what transpired in their marriage. The same way Tiger was present in the media is the same way his wife has been presented to us. None of us knew anymore about Tiger's private affairs, until he was expose, than we know about his wife's private life. So, stop painting her as this innocent angel who was victimized! We do not know her!
