Lindsay Lohan, Prosecutor React To Cocaine Picture (PHOTO)

UPDATE: TMZ reports that this photo will not be used against Lindsay when she appears in court on Monday. A spokesperson for the L.A. County D.A.'s office told TMZ the photo cannot be used in court because there is no way to prove the white substance is cocaine.

PREVIOUSLY: Lindsay Lohan was photographed this week partying in Cannes next to what looks like several lines of cocaine and holding something that appears to be rolled up paper. TMZ was first to print the below picture.

When asked by Radaronline.com to explain the white powder, Lindsay replied, "What!??"

Lindsay was told to look at the photo, and she said, "That's a set up that's so untrue." She did not elaborate on how she was set up.

Danette Meyers, the prosecutor for the progress report hearing Lindsay failed to attend Thursday, also had a reaction to the white powder in the photos.

"I hope that isn't cocaine in those pictures," she told Radar.

Of course one could only imagine Lilo sitting there her eyes dilating in overdrive, suggestively sucking on one of her breath mints exclaiming that it was the ‘breath mint’ that made her lose her nerve. I'm pretty sure it's coke. And even if it wasn't, why would an actress known for her drug and alcohol dependencies pose a picture next to something that wasn't coke knowing that if it got out the whole world would never believe anything otherwise??

It sucks to be an addict, speaking as someone in treatment for being an addict. It takes alot to get to the point of needing to get help, and I hope she decides to get it before it's too late.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I thought the same way until I partied with some rich southerners one time. They were dumping it out on each other and doing it. I was cringing at the small rocks rolling off onto the carpet and such. To someone like lindsay losing a g or two aint $hit.

Sigh. On one hand I agree with you. On the other . . . she bailed to Cannes to "promote" her new film when she had to be in court for a PROBATION HEARING the next week. Now, with the volcano in Iceland, as well as those pesky passport thieves, a person might think it could be a tad risky. But everyone who's anyone was at Cannes with salt shakers of cocaine, so what's a party girl to do?

Not anyone's business but her own? You might have a point if we were talking about someone who had NOT been arrested for drunk driving... had NOT been in rehab already a couple times. It is very much our business when she publically displays herself in the media BEGGING for attention! This young woman is obviously very troubled and is on the brink of disaster. I liken it very much to watching Anna Nicole Smith melt down as we all just watched and did nothing. I wish someone, hopefully her stupid mother, will step in and get her the help she needs before it is too late or we'll be burying her too.
