People who watched and liked "Lost," great. People who did not, that's fine as well.

Some of the "Lost" fans posting here are sounding just a bit unwound. Sara Benincasa's only problem is that the bit goes on too long. If you don't like her take, move on.

Seriously, I didn't bitch all these years as I had to listen to endless updates and predictions about "Lost" and it's cast while at work. I tried watching it, wasn't my cup 'o tea, and moved on.

Perhaps directing some of that anger at situations like the Gulf oil disaster would help relieve some of that "Lost hangover."

Not sure why I'm commenting, except that I seem to fall between the cracks of categories of responses.

So far, what I'm seeing are two groups of posters. First are those who say that they've never watched the show, and seem strangely proud of that. Second, are those who watch the show religiously, and they seem to take offense at the first group.

I'm someone who watched the show almost weekly when it began. But somewhere along the line they "lost" me (pun intended). I'm thinking it was somewhere in season two. They were adding characters. Finding "others" and such. I just got bored.

So does that make me part of the "cool" people who don't watch? Or am I a watcher with ADD?

Apparently, among some folks (not all, but some . . .), it is popular to say, "I have never seen Lost," which, if you ask me, is an attempt to be hip (or anti-hp, since "Lost" was a very "hip" show), smug, and to display disdain for popular culture.

I guess it has always been this way, I suppose -- while every else is enjoying themselves, there always has to be someone, with an air of feigned superiority, nose held high, sitting in the corner and saying, "Oh, I just didn't watch/listen/try (insert name of whatever here)."

Here is a hint: This disdain doesn't make you any cooler, nor do you come across as any more intellectual for refusing to partake in "bourgeois" entertainment. Especially when there is so much bad TV and entertainment, and "Lost" was one of the few interesting, introspective, and fascinating shows on mainstream TV.

I mean, I don't even understand some of the smugness, especially when they go out of their way to post on articles which pertain to the show. It's silly.

This is all my .02 on the matter, and I know some folks will take my response a little personally. It's just, so soon after it ended, a little annoying to hear the opinion of some folks on a show that they never even tried to watch before condemning it.

Thank you, Baculus. You put your finger on part of it. This video is not comedy. Its a ugly little peek into the smug "I'm so smart" personality of Benincasa. I guess her audiences love the bland pap (with some self- righteous anger mixed in) she passes off as comedy. She went out of her way to make this video, because like all extremely insecure, unhappy people, she is desperate for approval. And Her lack of wit, smarts, and real passion is really just kind of sad.

I have never watched "lost" but, judging by the huge following worldwide, it must have something. This show never appealed to me because what I always understood from the weekly promotions is that it was some kind of wacky mess. I like sci-fi, thrillers, mysteries and so on, but there always has to be some kind of coherence, if not logic or common sense, behind them. I'll give it a try on DVD, at least the first 5 episodes.

I agree.

I have never seen an episode of this show, not have I wanted to.

I just don't have the time or patience to sit for years before I understand what's been going on.

That's fair. I started watching during it's third season, after a coworker pitched it well. I rented the first season's dvds, and by the fifth episode I was hooked. If you aren't, give it up, it's not for you.

Maybe that would have been funnier if I had ever seen Lost.

there's no way she's never seen the show but I get her spiel though :) she was great as Sarah Palin. Way funnier than that highly overrated Tina Fey!

"Lost" lost me part way through the first season, so I really appreciate her service in catching me up with the rest of it. That was hilarious.
