Albert Haynesworth Lawsuit: Silvia Mena, Exotic Dancer, Sues Redskin

Albert Haynesworth Sued Silvia Mena

First Posted: 05/26/10 11:14 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:35 PM ET

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been sued by an exotic dancer who says the former Pro Bowler impregnated her and left town, according to the New York Post.

Silvia Mena claims she met the large lineman during Super Bowl week, and that they rendezvoused at his Tennessee home. According to the lawsuit, Haynesworth pledged to support the 25-year-old dancer, but allegedly abandoned his pregnant ex-lover instead.

Haynesworth, not long ago considered one of the best defensive players in professional football, signed a monster contract with the Redskins before the 2009 season and has since become unhappy in Washington. He has been the subject of intense trade speculation in recent months.

What do you mean "if"? There isn't a rape allegation

Geez!

No, Haynesworth is the only moron in this case. He has to be smarter than to have unprotected sex, especially with a stripper. She, just like many (not all) other women sees a boatload of cash waiting for her and she took advantage of it. Many women have been doing this for many, many years. Then again, Haynesworth may have so much money that he really doesn't care.

If she got impregnated it's because she wanted to. Otherwise, use protection of some sort.

Sweeti, what were you thinking? That a professional athelete was going to be there for his stripper baby momma? Get real.

Really? Impregnated her and left? Sounds more like hooked up, knocked up, and moved on to the rest of his life. Happens a million times a day. Not saying it's right, but it isn't actionable. Is Gloria Allred representing her?

again...not a sports story. Maybe HuffPost should begin a celebrity bull$#it page for those voyeurs who have to live vicariously. The biggest problem we face in this country is the blurring of the lines between entertainment and news (i.e. important information).

I completely believe he is obligated to provide for his child but the only thing due her is recouping half of the pre-natal cost.

Agreed, but don't ya think he should throw in some shoes so that she will not be barefoot and pregnant...after all wouldn't any woman expect to live happily ever after, especially when you meet a man at a strip club, rendezvous with him at his house and get pregnant by him all in one week.

From another commenter:

"It takes 2 to become impregnated, dear.

If you were such a lousy judge of character, then might I suggest not spreading your legs for any available man and perhaps spend some time getting to know their background and character before you try to procreate with them.

And perhaps either have your tubes tied, make sure you use the pill every day, and insist your 'dates' use a condom."

This seems to be the theme here, but this one is particularly interesting as this guy starts out by saying it takes two, then lectures the woman, for being responsible for her problems, but not the man for being responsible for his.

Some talk about Gold Diggers, but none of those have a man for guys who have sex with strangers without doing anything to prevent pregnancy or the desire to support a child should one 'happen'.

They mourn the day when men could do what they want with no responsibility, but those days are gone.

Me? I think the baby should be taken from both of them at birth, but then the guys would never learn anything.

You have some valid points, but the bottom line..how do you sue someone for leaving a relationship when you're not married and the baby has yet to be born?

Sweetie...

Of course this female (not a lady) is a Gold Digger.

Unprotected intercourse with an exotic dancer, did he run this by his agent since there must have been money involved.
