Janice Min Named Hollywood Reporter Editorial Director

Former Us Weekly editor-in-chief Janice Min is joining trade publication The Hollywood Reporter as Editorial Director.

Min left Us Weekly when her contract expired last year.

"The Hollywood Reporter is one of the most iconic brands in the entertainment industry. It's well-positioned to be a powerful voice across all media platforms," she said in an announcement.

The Hollywood Reporter was recently acquired by e5 Global Media, run by former Conde Nast exec Richard Beckman. Nikki Finke wrote in March that the new owners approached her about joining the title as editor-in-chief, but she declined.

Finke told Huffington Post of the hire, "I am saddened to see Hollywood lose yet another source for business news, since this hire clearly shows that won't be the focus of THR any longer -- just as I've been predicting it wouldn't."

Min was said to be working on a celebrity mom site with Ben Silverman's Electus.

Min and husband Peter Sheehy will move to LA with their two sons; the couple recently listed their New York apartment for over $7 million.
