'Law & Order' Won't Be Saved By TNT

If "Law & Order" lives for a record-breaking 21st season, it won't be on TNT.

After NBC canceled the show, there was speculation that show creator Dick Wolf was negotiating with TNT, the cable network that airs "Law & Order" reruns, to broadcast a season of original episodes.

But the network shot down that speculation in a statement to the LA Times.

"We are not in current talks, and we are not interested in a Season 21," the network said.

"Law & Order" is currently tied with "Gunsmoke" for the longest-running TV drama series of all-time, at 20 seasons.
