Rand Paul REPLACES Campaign Manager With Former Ron Paul Aide

ROGER ALFORD   05/26/10 02:24 PM ET   AP

Kentucky Senate

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Rand Paul has hired one of his father's former aides to manage his campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Jesse Benton, who was communications director for former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul's last campaign, replaces David Adams as campaign manager.

The shake-up was announced a week after a round of interviews in which Paul dismayed fellow Republicans with his views on racial segregation. Paul, an eye surgeon, won the GOP nomination last week.

Paul has been at the center of a lingering controversy since he expressed misgivings about the 1964 Civil Rights Act, suggesting to MSNBC host Rachel Maddow last week that the federal government shouldn't have the power to force restaurants to serve minorities if business owners don't want to.

Sounds like that father/son matrix again! A father's expectations, a son's shortcomings,
whether real or perceived.
Apparently, there also is much coaching by reactionary GOP male operatives and peers
to interject old playbook cliches and rules of the game in order to deflect attention away from any
radioactive, GOP political mushroom cloud. There is no protest here against  Read More...

Rand Paul has jabber jaw foot in mouth syndrome. All he needs to do is keep on allowing us to hear his drastic thinking against government laws protecting people from discrimination. Just a real creepy anti-government idiot.

Reported today that Rand Paul is, for some reason, not actually a board-certified ophthalmologist. !!!!

Ring, Ring, " Hello" Sounds of sobbing. "Hello"
Sniff Sniff " Daddy, it's Rand, I need help. It's only been 3 days since I won the primary and I have already screwed up. Sniff, Sniff. Daddy, what am I going to do?"
" Rand, stop your sniveling and listen up. Fire that campaign manager and I will send Jesse up there to help you"
"Thank you daddy, I knew I could count on you."
"And rand, keep your big mouth shut. Don't say anything unless Jesse tells you to"
Rand with a little catch in his voice "OK, Daddy. Thanks."

The new campaign manager, Jesse Benton is Rand's cousin who also runs Ron Paul's Campaign For Liberty.

Jesse - through Campaign for Liberty - works with the White Supremacist, Basil "Bazz" Childress.

Rand's sister Rand’s sister, Lori Pyeatt, is the secretary-treasurer of the group.

Wayne Paul is the guy who audited and filed the CFL’s 990 with the IRS

CFL raised more than $2.2 million in 2008. Mega bucks. But even more interesting? That it spent $357,006 on “Investment management fees.”

What on earth could the Campaign For Liberty possibly be “investing” in? Gold? Metals? Oil? No, because the 990 makes it clear that they don’t own any stocks or investments – just equipment. Inquiring minds want to know what’s going on.

What kind of expenses are they hiding from the government?

When you are suffering from foot in mouth disease, you have to distract your audience by placing the blame on someone else. Fortunately, for Rand Rant Paul, he has let the horse out of the barn with his comments about Title 2. This will haunt him at least until election day and hopefully for the rest of his life. Republicans, the something for nothing Tea Bagger's and Libertarians are always more than willing to to use government services and benefits on the one hand and bash them on the other hand. Their collective hypocrisy staggers the imagination.

The best person fer a job is never a candidate

Ah, the tried and true, McCain and Kerry model. It is always the campaign manager or the campaign worker who acted without authority who is at fault and must be replaced. Never the candidate, who makes the gaffe while wearing a live mic, or who sends out the racist or gay-baiting literature.

Dr. Rueful Paul has shown an extraordinary ineptitude in the days since he won the GOP Senatorial Primary election in Kentucky. In that regard, at least he is a perfect replacement for Jim Bunning. We are all still waiting to actually learn how he would change the course of the country, but he is afraid that if he publishes a "white paper" that he will be branded a racist, again. We will still be waiting after he has managed to lose the general election and moves, onto stage as one of comedian Jeff Drummond's talking dummies. He will look good but what to call him? Oh! I have it! Senator StickStuckSickShtick.

So Rand, was Mr. Adams telling you what to say on the Maddow show? Were you wearing an ear piece? Did he write his comments on your hand for you to read? Funny, somehow I thought what you were saying was a core belief of Libertarians that government intervention was bad even when it prevented evil. I thought that's how Libertarians were different than social conservatives (who want big government only when it can be used to quash evil, sin, etc.). So what's the message here? Are you no longer a Libertarian? Are you a stealth Libertarian? Or are you a "Palinist" who is willing to pretend to be anything or nothing, if it gets you elected?

All righty then he needs a new campaign manager for what? To tell him to keep his mouth shut? I think its a bit too late for that Rand really needs a 'SUPER'* campaign manager, one who can stuff words back in his mouth after they are already out there.

*The mythological 'Super' campaign manager doesn't really exist.
