Simona Halep Breast Reduction Surgery PHOTOS: Tennis Star Back In Action

Tennis star Simona Halep has returned to competitive play after undergoing breast reduction surgery. The Romanian busted out at the 2008 French Open, where her large 34DD breasts attracted ample attention.

But Halep's bountiful chest caused "severe back pain," according to the Daily Mail, so she had her abundant breasts surgically resized in 2009.

Halep returned to the French Open this year with 34C breasts, but was defeated by Australian Samantha Stosur. Scroll down for before and after photos of Halep. How is her new look?

I suppose her agility in her sport will be impacted for the positive, if not, why undergo the surgery? Still, with so many women paying for enhancement, what a waste of desirable beauty!!!

So she got rid of a few extra pounds.

Did I miss it or did the article not even mention her scores? - Her performance? - WTF?!?!?

She is a TENNIS PLAYER! So she had breast surgery because it seems they interfered with her work.

I know, I know. We are americans. - Bigger is better.

Many women try to get rid of massive mammaries. They are a HUGE drain on health, very dad for the back, and often bring chronical headaches because the muscles in the neck have a hard time bearing teh weight.

How much of an a***ole must anyone be to tell a women she should not get rid of all that with surgers? The samt people slaver over Heidi Motag or some other blown up moron and think the surgery was great. - Just because their eyes work a lot better than their imagination.

She got rid of something that hurt her and interfered with her performance. The discussion about her looks here is as well placed as a discussion about taking the oil out of the the Gulf of Mexico not reflecting the light well enough so the sunsets become uglier.

Get a grip.

Tennis is not visually fun as it use to be. I miss those lob shots, the rushing to the net, and those great volleys. SIGH... Simona Halep has made me turn my back on tennis. And to think I could have been a real fan.

I think it is her right to right to do what she wants with her body.
Breast enlargement/reduction, cosmetic surgery, abortion are all the rights of women to do as they please.

I hope people see this clearly (many did not in the on-going panning of Heidi Montag).

She looks fine to me. I hope she is happy. I like the women and the the female form. However, I have never understood the significance that some guys put on breast size. As I recall one old codger saying, "anything more than a handful is just wasted.", or was that mouth full? Either way.

I can tell you that big breasts do cause (major) back pain. They also cause too many people there is nothing above them. It is not an easy surgery, and she did well to have it young. Unfortunately, big breasts have a tendency to grow back so she will have no choice but to watch her weight.

For the record, I don't think she's that pretty - before or after - but I would have preferred the old chest... that being said, the surgery was not my decision to make, it was hers. But just because others selfishly voice their disappointment does not make them stupid or immoral.

Personally, I don't see a problem here. The 'Before' are hers. The 'After' are hers. Nothing was added and some was taken off. Whatever works for her in that area is fine since none of us on this board ever carried her exact racks nor can we carry it for her. She is the one who has to deal with those racks every day, not us. Go play some tennis Ms. Simona

I am a woman and I would be embarrassed if I saw my huge rack plastered all over the papers like that. Playing sports does not make for the most attractive photo opportunities and I'm sure they like to play up her best "assets." And many times breasts that are TOO large are not that attractive (probably very saggy). Usually a breast reduction makes for a prettier pair of breasts.

It's terrible to think that this 17 year-old needs to be hearing and seeing such downgrading comments. Makes you continue to wonder about the game of Tennis, especially the fans..Ladies, if you see your husband/boyfriend watching women's tennis excessively I would suggest getting him to a Dr. for help with his "addiction" of living his fantasies and life through others......One can only guess at the size of the "butts" of these "men" who watch tennis & who knows what for the breast size......Hmmmm, missing $$$ in your account, check out the local strip clubs and see if your hubby's car is there. They are lacking in more than just the size of their brain.....
