I remember seeing the same type of leg break by the Argentine goalie early on in the '90 World Cup.

Gah. I broke my leg-- snapped just like that and the foot twisted around on a freeway on ramp with traffic coming at me. I Totally feel for this guy and feel his pain. It is awful when your leg disintegrates into a wet noodle and the Pain is just endless and awful. So sorry man, better luck next year.

Hello Huffpost. There is a WORLD CUP ON AND THE US IS IN IT. Why do you only report the bad side of football. There are many good tales about football, not just injuries, riots and other nonsense, but no doubt they do not make good headlines

Huffington Post Sport section has carried within the past week videos of an NBA coach vomiting, of a MLB pitcher getting a line drive off his head, and a soccer player snapping his leg. I think I will stick to other websites for my sports news.

It's not going to be a "quick" recovery, but he may well have a full recovery.
