Topless Plus-Size Models Featured In French Marie Claire (NSFW PHOTOS)

First Posted: 06/01/2010 12:30 pm   Updated: 05/25/2011 4:40 pm

For its June 2010 issue, French Marie Claire has gone curvy with editorials featuring plus-size models in lingerie and swimsuits à la française--that's right, only bottoms, no tops!

Just two months ago French Marie Claire printed a totally non-airbrushed issue. Check that out HERE. Seems like the mag is all-aboard the Love Your Body train.

I much, much, much prefer this body type to the skeletons they usually put in magazines.

The fashion industry desperately needs to recalibrate what it considers "plus-sized." These women are REAL women: they actually have curves and are not all sharp angles, straight lines, and protruding ribs.

These are beautiful women, voluptuous, not plus-sized. They are still perfectly proportioned and make the Venus de Milo look homely. Show us some cellulite, some thunder-thighs, some cankles, some big-bellied flat-chested women. Show some women with short legs and long torsos, some with big backsides, some with round shoulders and flat butts. Show us ourselves, our mothers, our sisters. These sort of pictures do nothing to help women with their body images. Not every imperfect body can be made perfect by diet and exercize. Some of us will never be perfect, no matter what we do. What kind of cruel joke is this?

Alright, there is only one woman there that is on the verge of being "plus-sized," and just barely. Just about all of them are thin and healthy looking, certainly far from being fat, just not rail thin. When I hear "plus-sized" I think of a body type like the girl from Precious, not like the bodies of these women.

Some are normal, some are in the plus size region, but I can't help but think that some of these women are just normal and photoshopped bigger. This famed plus sized french model was saying she was photoshopped to look bigger and when people recognized her they said "I though you'd be bigger!" Her name escapes me right now.

These are not plus-size women. They are normal women. Plus-size is Rosie O'Donnell.

These ladies are spectacular. If only they were the norm rather than the exception.

Well then I should have specified "in print modelling".

I wish they were the norm. I'm not sure where your from, but in the US, most women (and men, not trying to be sexist), are way overweight. Most of these women look like they have a healthy weight, or maybe are very slightly overweight.

If the topless model in slide #4 is a plus size, you can start calling me a "chubby chaser." I think I'm in love.
