David Corn: Carly Fiorina Fails Character Test With Idiotic Ad

David Corn Carly Fiorina

Politics Daily:

There's an old cliché: Character is how you behave when no one is looking. And there's another way of testing character for a politician: what he or she is willing to say to get elected. Carly Fiorina failed that test this week -- when she released perhaps the most idiotic and juvenile campaign ad of the election year.

Senator Boxer has been a proud defender of the IPCC, that learned organization that once claimed that the Himalayan glaciers would all melt away by 2035. The IPCC was wrong about the Himalayan glacers, and wrong about the Amazon rainforests, and wrong about the percentage of Holland that is below sea level, and......and....and...

On the other hand, Senator Boxer has been shrill in her attacks on anyone who disagrees with the environmental extremists.

Hopefully the election will turn only upon her unwavering support for the IPCC and its supporters, and for her unbending attacks on those who respectfully disagree with the theory of catastrophic man-made global warming.

Perhaps Barbara Boxer and Carly Fiorina could have a public debate on the urgency of government action on global warming.

Carly Fiorina has a point. Global warming has been over-hyped. It was the IPCC that predicted that the Himalayan Glaciers would disappear by 2035. Senator Boxer and others consider the IPCC to be a credible source of Global Warming data.

In California, some climate scientists have predicted major flooding from rising sea levels. However, the predictions have not been supported by the objective data collected at tide stations such as in San Francisco. The sea level data from the last decade has been marginally lower than that from the previous decade.

Over the past 120 years, thousands of people have been killed by earthquakes, and thousands have been impacted by floods and brush fires. The modest sea level increases over the past 120 years have not killed anyone.

Many Californians would like their public officials to be more sceptical about global warming claims.
The IPCC is now largely discredited. People would like the public's money spent wisely rather than foolishly.

"I'm Carly Fiorina. I ran Hewlett-Packard."...into the ground.

Why does Carly Fiorina sound like a hot breakfast cereal. Get with it California. Get a real politician, not a hot meal.

Okay brothers and sisters of California, here's my plan; it's simple like my brother-in-law Bob, only unlike Bob, this plan just might work!

Let's take a junior senator who's served for eighteen years, on multiple powerful committees, is respected by her colleagues and replace her with a shrill, failed business woman neophyte who won't have the capacity to bring back an ounce of bacon to the State. That's the ticket!

It's SCARY this sort of ad appeals to some people, especially the candidate Fiorina. Sorry, but the lead in lady reminded me of Demon Sheep!

Californians would be so very foolish if they vote for Fiorina. As everyone of Hewlett-Packard learned during her tenure there, Fiorina is only working for herself, not the employees, not the shareholders, not the compay, all of which lost hugely under her gross mismanagement.

She will do the same as a senator: Only out for Carly. She actually said and believes this, "Leadership is a performance". Despicable. We'll see ya at The Oscars, where she'd lose also.

Send her back to her flat in Los Altos Hills CA, please.

Do NOT vote for this person.

Isn't it grand that the other politicians fight for the people, and are not concerned for themselves?

BTW, when can we expect politicians that will work for the people instead of fighting?

Carley keeps telling us she "ran" HP and has ALL that experience . . .

seems she decimated thee workforce, off-shored R&D, outsourced production to India, and cut quality to unacceptable levels - HP was almost run completely into bankruptcy . . . it too the work of VERY concerned Board to toss he carcass OUT with the help of her very LARGE GOLDEN PARACHUTE . . . the new directors REVERSED her course and in time HP survived what could have been a sell off of company furniture . . .

Carley is a BS artist that hasn't delivered and if elected we can expect the same megalomaniac approach in Washington to further destroy what little "bi-partisanship exists"

One can hope the Bagger mentality would see that "toss the bums OUT" is a good approach ONLY if the replacement is up to the job . . . Carly falls SHORT in TOO MANY AREAS.
