Jack Conway Campaign Ad Attacks Rand Paul For Faltering On Civil Rights, BP Oil Spill (VIDEO)

Democrat Jack Conway is taking aim at Republican rival Rand Paul in Kentucky's Senate race with a new web video that charges the conservative candidate with flip-flopping on libertarian principles, while also highlighting controversial remarks the GOP hopeful recently made on the Civil Rights Act and the BP oil spill.

The latest spot from Conway features a montage of footage of Paul defining his views on racial discrimination and the environmental disaster plaguing the Gulf Coast, only to be followed by clips drawing attention to the Tea Party favorite later walking back his views amid media scrutiny.

"Rand: Dodging, Weaving, Backpedaling, Spinning," flashes the ad after highlighting Paul's faltering. "Rand Paul: Just a typical politician."

Conway's campaign spot attempts to nail down the depiction of Paul by featuring this characterization of the Republican contender from the Lexington Herald-Leader:

... the Republican Senate candidate's flips and flops on such subjects as the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the disastrous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and breaking a date with Meet the Press...
