Heidi-Spencer SPLIT: Montag Files For Legal Separation

LOS ANGELES — More than "The Hills" may be ending for two of its stars – Heidi Montag has filed for separation from Spencer Pratt. She cited irreconcilable differences in a court document submitted Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif.

Montag and Pratt are stars of the MTV series "The Hills" and have been married since last April. The series is in its final season.

Montag's two-page handwritten filing does not offer any more details on the couple's breakup. An e-mail sent to an MTV spokeswoman seeking comment was not immediately returned.

The filing also doesn't indicate whether Montag intends to file for divorce, which would formally end their marriage.

Come on Huff Po. Get the story strait.

They are not legally married. They had a wedding ceremony in Mexico. No formal paperwork for legal marriage was filed in California, or any other state in the U.S.

Montag filing for "legal separation" is a coverup. You cant file for a legal separation when there was never a legal joining. The only way Montag would need a legal separation would be for a Common Law marriage. They do not have Common Law Marriage status either. California does not recognize Common Law Marriage, regardless of the actions of Montag and Pratt.

I don't care what anyone says, Heidi Montag is smokin' hot with literally one of the best bodies you will see from anyone in the entertainment industry. She should be congratulated for dumping Pratt. He has to be most annoying pseudo-celeb ever created by a publicist.
