Purdue University student Paul Wagner was found dead in his car in Newport Beach, Calif. Monday.
Autopsy results were inconclusive, and investigators did not identify any signs of foul play. The Daily Pilot reports that Wagner had a "severely enlarged" heart.
Wagner's father and sister both told news outlets that the 20-year-old had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. His father told the Orange County Register that Paul was on medication for the disorder.
Don Wagner is a candidate for California's 70th Assembly District. The younger Wagner was working on the campaign for his summer intersession.
