Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, 32, was born in Nigeria in 1977. Adichie has authored two novels: "Half of A Yellow Sun" and "The Purple Hibiscus". Her most recent work, a collection of short stories titled "The Thing Around Your Neck", was published in 2009. She has won the the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction and received a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship.
