134 Closure: Overturned Gasoline Tanker Shuts Down LA Freeway

NOT AGAIN!: Accident Completely Shuts Down ANOTHER Local Freeway

UPDATE: All lanes of the eastbound 134 have been reopened as of 4p.m.

A day after a rush hour accident shut down the 405 freeway for the better part of Wednesday, news is breaking of an overturned gasoline tanker shutting down another major local freeway.

ABC 7 reports:

Officials say that approximately 4,500 gallons of fuel has spilled on the freeway. Only one compartment of three on the tanker is leaking, according to officials. The tanker holds approximately 1,500 gallons of gasoline.

The fuel is currently spilling into a storm drain which funnels to Johnny Carson Park in Burbank on Riverside Drive. Experts are trying to figure out a way to contain the fuel at that location.
