LOS ANGELES — Actor James Farentino has been booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery following a citizens' arrest at his Hollywood home.
Los Angeles police said Monday that the 72-year-old actor tried to physically remove a man from his house late Sunday. The man, who police said had visible bruises, made the citizens' arrest.
Farentino was taken to a police station and spent the night in jail before being released on $20,000 bail.
It wasn't immediately clear if Farentino has a publicist or agent, and a home phone listing for Farentino could not be found.
An actor since the 1960s, Farentino had a recurring role on the television show "Dynasty" and starred in the movie "The Final Countdown."
