Diplomats Slave Trade

Time:

In Washington on Monday morning, June 14, Hillary Clinton unveiled the State Department's 10th annual report on modern-day slavery, which evaluates the efforts of every nation to combat the crime. For the first time, State ranked the antislavery efforts of the U.S. alongside those of 174 other countries. The U.S. rated itself as being in full compliance with the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA). But the report appears to have ignored a new congressional mandate to identify specific cases of countries whose diplomats allegedly harbored slaves within a few miles of Clinton's remarks -- even though it indicates that such cases exist.

People live in poverty, because they can't figure out the game. Let's take [taxes] and the health bill, and a non-union meat packing company among others. Company's like this do not pay for heath insurance, for those that work in these places. Who ends up paying for their health insurance when they have [debilitating] heath issues? You guessed it. When the President wanting to mandate that all company's give health insurance to their employes, what did the Republicans say? You got it, he is going to raise taxes!
This is [slavery] of the mind, kept in check threw [fear]. What did President Bush do when his poll numbers went down, you guessed it, he raised the [terror] alert up. Slavery is nothing new, just think back to Moses, and we should not forget the first time we heard of [deception], like in the [Garden].....So what has changed, other than the names they use, and those that live in poverty?

Oh, so this report exonerates us? Try going to the Smithfield meat packing plant, or to one of AgriBusinesses' vast network of food and meat processing plants and slaughterhouses, all non union, and see how these workers lead their lives.

And look in any Chinatown, around closing time, you can see the slaves getting into the vans to be taken to the apartments where they're housed, and they're trapped until they pay off the fees that brought them here to begin with

Tell that to any Russian or Eastern European woman working in a strip club as they are also enslaved by unscrupulous human traffickers.

Please, Hillary, tell the truth for once in your life.

Human trafficking is exceptionally egregious. Allowing diplomatic immunity is an affront to everything America stands for. Are all men created equal? Do all men have the right to life, liberty and the persuit of happiness?

Tsk, tsk, I thought you knew such 'ideas' were only true for natural-born American citizens. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are only for certain American's. We do not even guarantee these rights to the people in our own country and you want us to make others follow them?

Then again our Democratic-hypocracy suits such a stance just fine.

I love it when Secretary Clinton provides me ammo to use against fellow progressives who are convinced we'd be better off if she had become POTUS. This is NOT the first time that she's ignored human rights abuses in order to appease our frenemies.
