Julia Roberts Photoshopped In Lancome Ad? (PHOTO, POLL)

First Posted: 06/16/2010 5:34 pm   Updated: 05/25/2011 4:50 pm

Julia Roberts' first Lancome ad has been revealed and her skin looks a little too smooth to be real. We're guessing they either applied tons of foundation to the Pretty Woman or that she was Photoshopped into oblivion. Take a look at the image, via ONTD.

What do you think?

Quick Poll

Was Julia Roberts Photoshopped?

YES!

No! It's just makeup.

A wax figure at best. How very "enlightened" of you. Did she have this done at the ashram?

It's very pretty and I love her as a blond, but I don't see teenagers with skin that smooth.

She is a homely woman to begin with...no amount of makeup can fix that. It has to be heavily airbrushed.

And before you all start demanding I post my photo, two things about Juia Roberts that apply to her but not to me:

1. I am not a woman.

2. I do not make money based on my looks.

Yes, SJP horseface. I never understood anyone's attraction to her. Terrible actress too.

Do these companies not know that even stupid people can tell when someone's been airbrushed to this extreme? STOP IT!!

Julia is a beautiful woman but this picture makes her face smooth like a mannequin's. There are no creases, no lines, her face looks like it has never broken out into a beaming smile and we know she can really smile when she wants to. Why can't women age normally? Why does every so-called 'imperfection' have to be erased from the photos? This picture is a joke!

Women aren't supposed to age, didn't you get the memo? And of course, at the ripe old age of 44, I'm looking at the laugh lines and undereye circles on my own face and wishing they'd go away. Sigh...

They've turned a pretty woman into a generic model. And by the way, you can't just layer on makeup and expect younger smoother looking skin. This is very photoshopped.

Julia is someone who needs absolutely zero photoshopping. She's gorgeous naturally. This ad did turn out to be strange looking, as if the bottom half of her face disappears under her nose. The nude lips aren't helping.

TRAGEDY....??????? There are real tragedies out there, the Gulf oil disaster, the wars in Afghanistant and Iraq, world hunger and disease, the decline of natural habitat....
Someone needs a reality check and reprioritizing of values.

"Photoshopping" isn't a given quantity. Many photos are retouched only to even out distracting shadows, soften hard highlights from a shot that otherwise captured the desired image. A publication that DOESN'T do this is seen as cheap. But inexperienced or unskilled photoshop artists often don't quite know when to stop. It's easy to lose perspective when you're focussed. Once you've cleaned up a shadow under the chin, all it takes is a few more passes and "Voila" you've created an overly softened face that looks like perfectly sanded oak.

If real life could be so easy.... if one knows the intricacies of Photoshop, a person can do wonders with the program.....Very few, if any, photos in mags are not retouched dramatically, so what's the complaint? Oh, it doesn't even look like her, so what .....cosmetics are falsely representing what they can do anyway..along with most other products......

unfortunately, many young girls don't realize that: and many adult women, otherwise the multi billion dollar sales of cosmetics would drop.

yes, it is a tragedy. When you can't recognize a person due to the airbrushing, I'd say it is a bit overdone.
