Dale Peterson Cuts The Best Political Endorsement Ad Ever Made (VIDEO)

First Posted: 06/17/10 01:44 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:50 PM ET

Gun-toting enemy of "thugs" Dale Peterson may have finished third in the GOP primary for Alabama Agriculture Commissioner, but he's not done being a YouTube star. With the race heading to a runoff between Dorman Grace and John McMillan, Peterson has returned to endorse McMillan in a new ad.

This thing is a piping hot slice of baller. Peterson uses his time to send a big ol' suck it message to Grace, whom he refers to as a "dummy" and a "bought and paid for" candidate who needs to "head on back to his chicken farm." And woe betide any of you thugs who want to steal McMillan's yard signs: Dale Peterson will only fire one warning shot!

I wish we had more politicians like this instead of the fey p*ssies in the current administration, running around shooting each other with squirt guns.

Interesting. He served during vietnam but never in vietnam. He swift-boated himself, without ever actually having been in a swift-boat.

That was taken from SCTV in the 70’s right?… No really…

I'm sorry, but I find Dale Person a little bit too intellectual and heady to take seriously as a conservative. I'm quite sure that commercial went right over the heads of voters in his district. Plain english, please!

Heh, that was pretty funny. I know during the presidential elections I would see on tv videos some blobby old teabaggers stealing Obama's signs and wish someone had laid a bear trap or something. Listen, Progressives, we're never going to make it in this game if your too sensitive. Save the hand wringing till after we get the country fixed back up again.

What the heil is wrong with guys like this? I absolutely hate the casual glorification of guns and violence in this ad. We have such a sick culture, when we totally accept as normal the brutalistic rhetoric on display here.

How come two gay men showing even the mildest public affection is considered "inappropriate" and gets met with the same violence implied in this ad? (Two lesbians showing affection? That's "hot". Unless of course the women don't confirm to hyper-macho standards of feminine beauty. In which case it's also disgusting. Big portions of our country are ret@rded when it comes to this sort of double-standard.)

Meanwhile, threatening to shoot someone over stealing a yard sign is NOT inappropriate?

Scary and disgusting.

threatening to shoot someone is a crime. the word "inappropriate" is much like the phrase "common sense", a word of variable meaning according to the view of the proponent. a determination that acts or statements of a person is "inappropriate" or conversely, "appropriate", is simply an expression of one's opinion; the genesis of double or multiple "standards"

about gun violence, expect more. as double and multiple standards continue and expand in society the less tolerant will resort to extreme measures to protect and project their point of view.

Did anyone else notice the way they used his dog tags and the hint of the Marines logo at the end there? Their shameless use of their military service is disgusting to me.

Totally agree.

Given that he served in the Marines, I'm inclined to say he's earned the right to show those tags off any old time he wants.

Yeah, well ol' Dale is one of those who likes to say he "served during Vietnam" but never served IN Vietnam. He should reserve that kind of praise for those who did serve in Vietnam. Even his own website took that phrase off there because they new it was walking a cheap and gratuitous line.
