Louis C.K. Stops By 'The Daily Show' And Proves He's The Funniest (VIDEO)

First Posted: 06/17/10 12:52 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:50 PM ET

Louis CK stopped by the "Daily Show" last night and pretty much reiterated what we all know. He's the funniest. On hand to promote his new show (aptly titled "Louie"), he had Stewart cracking up the whole time. The subject matter's a little on the NSFW side, so if you're at W, plug in your H (headphones).

As much as I love Stewart, I hate his forced laugh.

I have watched everything the man has ever done. Truly the best standup comedian now, possibly ever.

Right now he's probably the funniest stand up comedian going. This clip, while hilarious, does not do his stand up justice. Is there anyone funnier than Louis C.K.?
03:44 PM on 06/18/2010
Is there anyone funnier? Yes, emphatically, YES! Here's a memorable, highly comedic line from his short-lived piece o'cr*p HBO show, "Lucky Louie" that lasted all of one season and managed to amass a grand total of 4 million viewers:

"(chase me around the table and...) if you can catch me, I'll suck your d*ck!"

HILARIOUS! SIDE-SPLITTING! Why ISN'T this guy in dinner theater with all that talent???

I love Louie CK!

I watched his now-deceased HBO show, "Lucky Louie" and can testify it was one of biggest pieces of cr*p ever broadcast. I thought Eddie Murphy's experience years ago, when he discovered the hard way that barrages of four-letter words and scatological references really WEREN'T hilarious to most people, would've served as an example of what NOT to do! Guess not.

Prude. I thought it was one of the funniest shows EVER! It was hilarious.

Guess you'll have to call me a prude too. Lubricant for masterbating is funny??? I don't get it.

Guess you were one of the few who felt that way considering the show lasted one season on HBO and drew only 4 million fans:

"The series was met with critical scorn when it premiered, with the Dallas Morning Herald calling it "repulsive." The show averaged 4 million weekly viewers, including the reruns that HBO aired following the Sunday episode premieres."

I love me some Stewart but he does tend to talk over the people he interviews. Let them finish a sentence once in a while. (Unless they're evil wing nuts of course.)

Did they say Louie's show will be on at 11:00 pm? This is the same time the Daily Show is on Comedy Central. John, he's now competing with you and soon Conan will be on TBS at 11:00 pm. Good thing for the Internet.

And also good thing that Comedy Central reruns the Daily Show and Colbert Report 4 times a day.

He's funny, and I hope he stays funny. He'll need to find new stuff less dependent on fat guy, genitals, and semen, rape, and other shock bits. I think he can, because he does those so well- he can take his insight to other topics, much like artists in other mediums.

Why? He's been doing just fine with that type of humor for a long time.
03:38 PM on 06/18/2010
If he doesn't have any new material, the new show'll wind up dumped just like the one-season, four million viewer disaster, "Lucky Louie!"

Me too. Maybe it could've gone on longer if they'd chucked that god-awful little girl who played his daughter.
