'Avatar' Porn Film Goes 3D

If you're a fan of pornography, James Cameron's Avatar, and 3D movies, then brace yourself.

Hustler is producing an Avatar-inspired 3D porno, entitled This Ain't Avatar XXX. That's right, in 3D.

After last year's successful This Ain't Star Trek XXX, SciFiSquad.com predicts the Avatar takeoff will be another "fairly faithful spoof amidst all of the hardcore activity."

True to its namesake, This Ain't Avatar XXX will be Hustler's "highest-budget flick ever produced," according to Mother Nature Network. However, it's not the first 3D porn film to based on a blockbuster release--previous releases include "Octopussy 3D: A XXX Parody" (released in April 2010, according to a HuffPost reader) and "Whorrie Potter and the Sorcerer's Balls."

The reason the naming conventions for porn parodies are what they are ("This Ain't", "Not The", etc.) is because sales go down when the title of the porn flick doesn't closely match the original. Parodies are actually saving the industry from sluggish sales and changing technologies. The Star Trek parodies last year were outstanding, and the two best coming up are not Avatar, (although it should be pretty good) but The A-Team and the Batman parodies.
