Illinois Will Miss Deadline On High-Risk Health Insurance Pool

Chicago Sun-Times :

In one of the first major provisions of federal health-care reform, states were supposed to establish temporary high-risk insurance pools for people with pre-existing conditions by July 1.

But Illinois won't make that deadline. It probably won't start enrolling people in its pool until mid- to late August.
