Another day, another cover of Lady GaGa. It's not our fault, though, because there are so many good ones! This is a drum cover of "Telephone." Enjoy.

I think this explains why I hate Lady Gaga, http://somebodyhadtosayit.com/2010/05/24/%E2%80%9Crussian-roulette-is-not-the-same-without-a-gun-%E2%80%9D-%E2%80%93-lady-gaga/

Good drummer, but the video is off by a fraction of a second.

My bad, after watching it again, it's the drummer, not the video.

Great Job on the drum cover Ricky Ficarelli. I'm sure we will be hearing alot more from you!!

That is one fantastic drummer. What is his name HufPo?

I loved the part where he throws the sticks to himself. Very clever and he has the chops to back it up. Nice going kiddo. The future looks bright!

It's nice to see Lady Gaga get some more free publicity. Poor woman doesn't get enough attention. I'm off to have my ears removed. Bye.

awesome. so use to seeing performers lip sync, previously recorded, auto-tuned & engineered tracks. refreshing to see the physical and emotional investment that a drummer puts into a live performance. admirable amount of effort and stamina. totally wow'ed!!

It's the crucifixes, the baton twirling, the long hair and the grimacing that really make this baby. You rock, Dudes!

I always find it amusing that non-musicians find videos like this and the one with that drummer in the wrong gig good. This guy has about as much rhythm as those people.

He's a kid. He'll probably be in a band, rocking out and having the time of his life while you sit around and critique and keep telling yourself that you're a really talented musician but never caught a break because the industry is so hard and geniuses of your caliber are always under appreciated, etc. etc........

most drummers are under-rated. was listening to Beatles AbbeyRoad and realized at "The Medley" just how under rated Ringo Starr was.

I saw Slash interviewed and he credited Ringo with being one of the best drummers of all time and someone many drummers still draw inspiration from. Ringo was one of the greats in perhaps the greatest band of all time and if he did not get the recognition, you have to look at who was on stage with him.

God, he has horrible time and no rhythm.
01:52 AM on 06/26/2010
He's a 16 year old drummer with a lot of video equipment, time, and a sound proof room to play in. Frankly I'm more impressed with his video editing skills and camera work on the various videos he's posted to youtube than I am with his percussion skills. He's talented, but not exceptionally talented. He's also flashy to an unnecessary degree. I'm certainly not threatened by the kid, he's doing a good job of selling himself, but realistically he uses the same fills and beat patterns over and over again. Watch a number of his videos and you'll note his snare drum fills are the same across many songs. The kid really loves his 16th notes. That being said, if you give this kid some good music from some talented jazz, fusion, funk, and non pop-rock beat machine music to work with, he might learn to mix things up a little bit more.

I will say that he's got great rhythm, and knows how to play along to popular music well. But that is not indicative of a highly talented musician. His best moments come in an entirely different video doing a cover of a Lil' Wayne song. His foot-work on the bass drum double pedal is very nice. He'll grow into something decent, but today what he really has is a talented camera man, sound board mixer, and a lot of time on his hands. (He is 16 after all.)

Zacory, why is it people like you never have anything to show for yourself. No youtube of your skills I see... instead, you hide in "secret" behind a computer monitor, starved for attention and cutting down others who have the talent and dedication to do what you can not. You too have obviously been hurt by the Music industry. Did you want to be Rock Star Zacory? Did the record labels tell you that you were not good enough? You are sad... very sad

You know what's sad? People who are incapable of taking criticism.

You know what's pathetic? People who live vicariously through other people's accomplishments and feel compelled to defend total strangers out of some self righteous need to vindicate their injured sense of self-worth because they bask in the reflected glow of another person's talent.

You know what's even MORE pathetic? Taking digs at not one, not two, but THREE people on the same article who ALL think this kid is only moderately talented. (Yeah... I looked at your comments log.) You know what's even more interesting? ALL your comments are on this one post. Good for you! You're a fan of a moderately talented drummer with a youtube page! Congrats!

How about a little dose of reality? If you're defining "success" and measuring "talent" by how many hits one attains on a youtube video then it's very likely that you don't have a very clear picture of how the world works. When you become an adult, and join the rest of us in the real world, you may come to realize that internet glory does not translate into real world success for the vast majority of one-hit-webby-wonders.

If you re-read my comment you may note that I never insulted this kid, nor did I attack his character. (Unlike your pathetically sad attempt to "call me out.")

Your comments say about you. It's actually quite revelatory... and very very sad.

Loved it!! Great to see young creative musicians playing so well and having so much fun...wish more kids could be doing stuff like this.
