Louis C.K. Continues To Be The Funniest (VIDEO)

First Posted: 06/24/10 04:20 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:55 PM ET

Comic (and current funniest) Louis C.K. appeared on the "Tonight Show" last night, and not even the tame Leno audience could hold him down. There to promote his new show, which premieres next week and is hilarious, C.K. ranted about the "motherf--kers" he has to deal with volunteering at his daughter's school. And yes, those "motherf--kers" are the other children.

FX is "hard to find?" Leno says three things during the entire interview and he manages to say something idiotic.

I just watched louie's show tonight which premiered on FX.

It was absolutely hilarious. I highly recommend it.

There were actually 2 episodes. I liked The first one (pilot) a little better than the second, but they were both really good.

Good work louie

Love, love, love Louis CK! It was such a letdown when HBO canceled "Lucky Louie" after just one season.

I'm so glad FX has given him another shot. I'll definitely be watching tonight :)

I realise this guy is probably funny. But everytime I see him, visions of Jim Cramer come to my mind and I find it impossible to laugh. He has got to stop trying to look like Cramer!

The only thing Louis C.K. has to stop doing is being a genius, because I cannot stop laughing

I'm a big fan of stand-up. Some of my biggest influences on what and how I think are comedians. George Carlin is so big in my life that I'm getting his image tattooed on me. My comedic tastes range from Lewis Black to Patton Oswalt to Russell Peters, from Kathy Griffin to the Blue Collar guys! No matter your political leanings, funny is funny.

That being said, I only chuckled a little once at this whole clip.

Wow you managed a chuckle? I love all those comedians you mentioned plus Bill Hicks and I was just staring at the screen in disbelief. The bar has been lowered quite a bit hasn't it.

Please. Bill Hicks was rarely funny on talk show panels, even when doing planned material. He was a stand-up, he was funny onstage.

What is it with the NBC clips, every time they have one it keeps pausing every 2 seconds, not so with CBS clips.

Louis C.K. is amazingly funny, but comparing him to Robin and Steve is not applicable. That's like saying, "Move over rock and roll, pop music is the new king in town!" Louis does a completely different style, it's more a confessional comedy drawn from his frustration with sucking at life. Besides, it's a weird comparison- Steve Martin hasn't done stand-up comedy in 30 years.

Too much coke before he went on..? The whole time Louis was talking Jeremy was just chewing fast and staring, imagining Louie was holding the mirror and hadn't taken his line yet, and Jeremy was doing the toe-tap in anticipation..."yeah man, ok, whatever, just finish the story and pass it over here.."

he was doing his best to pretend what he was hearing was funny but alas that is apparently too difficult even for an actor.

Unoriginal tripe.

This is what Americans think is funny: a guy who rehashes and updates old comedians' jokes.

It's like watching Robin Williams doing a parody of himself. Or even worse: Dennis Miller.

Crude but laugh out loud funny and true. Don't see the relationship you draw between Louie and those two other comix.

He doesn't have anything original in his repertoire.

I'm guessing you are 20-something, so you don't know any better.
03:16 PM on 06/25/2010
It's the closest I've ever come to flagging something as abusive; Nobody deserves to be compared to Dennis Miller. That's just "violates the Geneva Convention" cruel.

Hallelujah, brother. There's something really wrong with Miller.
