I wouldn't step foot in any of those places for all the money on Wall Street and the City of London combined, total and utter cesspools of humanity with no redeeming traits.

uh I wouldn't exactly say Atlanta is a college "town." More like a huge city that happens to have several colleges in it. Same with Denver. And Austin...

Wow! You are so wrong about Austin, TX! The University of Texas IS that town! There is hardly a business that doesn't directly benefit from the 100,000+ enrolled at this university. The nightlife is totally geared to the students, as are the restaurants, and most assuredly the residential communities in and around Austin which house the overflow of students and even their families. If this doesn't constitute a "college town," I have no idea what does!

How about a list of the roundest college towns, or the highest-altitude college towns, or maybe the college towns with the longest or shortest names?

Haha, The U of I is in Urbana, not Champaign

It's technical name is University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Urbana is first because more of the actual university is in Urbana. (I grew up in Urbana and went to UIUC as well, for the record.)

I also grew up in Urbana, so yeah... double check the Union's address (not to mention the entire quad and the essence of the university. It's east of Wright St. making the university officially in Urbana.

If you don't like educated socially tolerant neighbors please don't come to Austin Texas. If you are a xenophobe don't come here. If you want your young person armed on campus with other young people who are armed also, please just stay away. Austin is not for you.

There's cow poop in the streets and the Mexican food will give you the runs for weeks. Barton Springs is also about the nastiest water I've ever been in. Don't come here... I mean go there!
