Dylan Ratigan

New York Times:

All this from a man who, until recently, hosted a stock-picking show on CNBC, the cable personification of Wall Street. Now Mr. Ratigan, who labels himself a taxpayer advocate, rails against the "vampire" banks who "have assumed control of our government."

"It's like being the guy who was running the casino, and then having an awakening and realizing that the casino is what's killing the country," Mr. Ratigan said in an interview last week.

We love Ratigan! I say give him Joe and Mika's spot in the morning.

We need more people in the media asking hard questions and not letting these people get away with making talking points that are nothing but lies. I don't always agree with Ratigan but he's one of the few people on TV who speak truth to power and have more than the phony left vs right set up.

I LOVE Dylan, and I believe he should be on later. Give him Chris Matthews' 7:00 PM time slot. God knows, we don't need 2 hours of Matthews! Dylan is a real truth-teller, and he's what this country needs. He's the antidote to "politics as usual." He's brilliant and doesn't care who he tells off. I think he's even better than Keith lately. I'm sure the DNC isn't fond of him, just because he's nobody's shill. He says it "like it is," and lets the chips fall where they may.

The first time I saw Dylan Ratigan, was when he had his show on CNBC His guest was the billionaire Sir Allen Stanford, Sorry, I had puke. But he was convicted of a ponzi scheme. One of the softball questions Dylan asked this man was “ How does it feel to be a billionaire?” Seriously dude, you’ve got to be freaking kidding me!!! From that day on, I haven’t had much respect for Dylan.

Man, I really can't believe of all the hatred of Dylan Ratigan. I guess this is why our country is doomed. This guy's heart is at the right place. He has no hidden agenda, and always trying to get the truth as a journalist.

Just go read a few of his blogs here on this site.

He hasn't been given the MSNBC "you have meddled with the primal forces of nature" speech yet but has soon as he starts hurting the big GE money (nuke power, smart grids, free trade's tax evasion, mercury in lightbulbs) he will be a toothless, safe liberal like Rachel, Keith, and Ed.

I take it you have something personal against Ratigan. You posted numerous times in this topic. Look, if you had watched him recently, the guy has toned it down. Plus, his heart is at the right place, and he always tries to be informative.

so is being extremely annoying and unwatchable a career move plus now?
09:25 PM on 06/29/2010
Sorry I've tried, but I can't watch Ratigan. The only way I can describe him is angrily incoherent. I want to be informed, not yelled at. He's worse than Scarborough in the arrogance department. If you like it--watch it, I can't.

There are few shows on msnbc that I won't watch, but Dylan is one and Ed Schultz is the other.

One is about as obnoxious as the other. Dylan is too far to the right. Ed is uninformed.
01:24 PM on 07/01/2010
Hate to disagree with you, but Ed is NOT misinformed. He's just over the top. Which I find kind humorous, because why is it that the righties’ love over the top and the lefties’ don't want a part of it? Hmmmmm.
