Stephanie Seymour Skips Drug Test, Might Be Ordered Not To Drink

Former Victoria's Secret model Stephanie Seymour was almost held in contempt of the court after missing a drug test because she was on vacation, the New York Post reports. Seymour has to undergo the routine tests as part of her divorce from Peter Brant, but she missed one in March because she was in St. Barts with two of her kids. Seymour said she didn't see e-mails from her lawyer Tom Colin (who has since been relieved of his duty) while she was away.

Brant's kids' lawyer Lacey Bernier previously expressed concern Seymour would mix alcohol and prescription drugs. Bernier said, "All of the kids that I interviewed, they all had memories of her drunk." Brant's lawyers now want Seymour to be banned from drinking.

Children of alcoholics grow up knowing their mother 'isn't there'.
Mommy is in her own little selfish world and neglecting the needs and problems
of her children.
On top of that....now the children are burdened with mommy's big baggage.
Children of alcoholics carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Bitter, ugly divorces. A lot of times when the wife feels so stuck in the marriage she starts drinking. Alcohol soothes the pain of being with someone you can't stand and the kids suffer. In cases I know the wife feels so much emotional pain and usually the guy is a mean man. Sad.

This is what divorce looks like for the uber wealthy.

There are better ways to soothe your problems than turning to alcohol. If the kids are suffering as a result of a parent's alcohol abuse, that parent is the only one to blame.

oh pleeeeeese. We all grew up with our parents high on some kind of drug or drink. Don't tell me it is different in the 2000's. Am I a drug addict, no. am I a drunk, no. Do I have a successful and healthy life, yes. Brandt sounds like a bully totally using his legal weight to cast a bad cloud over Seymour. Leave Stephanie alone!

Yes ... but where children are concerned, whenever any sort of abuse or safety concerns are raised, the judge has a duty to conduct a forensic examination of the situation by a court-appointed (impartial) guardian ad litem.

the husband very well could be a bully ... but i also assume that ms seymour has her own money and can balance it out.
