It can't get much worse than this. Luke Scott, Baltimore's designated hitter, injured his hamstring after he belted a home run in the bottom of the seventh inning in last night's game against the Oakland Athletics.

The homer gave the O's a one-run lead and a rare opportunities to actually win a game. However, Scott pulled his hamstring after he rounded first base and limped through the rest of the jog. He is now likely headed to the disabled list.

"I kind of turned it up as I was getting ready to come around," Scott said. "And when I came around first base it kind of cramped up, my hamstring cramped up and when my leg went forward it pulled."

The home run was one of five that the Orioles hit last night, allowing them to win 9-6. But Scott's embarrassing injury still sheds a negative light on the team.

This isn't the first time a player has injured himself on a home run this year. Angels first baseman Kendry Morales broke his left leg while celebrating a walk-off home run in May. Scroll down to watch Luke Scott's injury.
