Animals Most Endangered By The Gulf Oil Spill (PHOTOS)

Today on HuffPost, Dan Froomkin takes a look at the plight of the sea turtles -- arguably the most affected animals from April's BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

You've likely also seen many photos of brown pelicans, the state bird of Louisiana, covered in oil. HuffPost Impact wanted to take a look at several of the animals whose lives and continual survival are being dramatically changed by the oil spill. Louisiana's state bird has been devastated by the BP oil spill. Hundreds of oil-soaked animals have been airlifted to areas in Georgia and Louisiana to be cleaned and released. The brown pelican had a resurgence in the 1990s and may now be endangered again.
