Eagles Cheerleaders Donate Portion Of Calendar Proceeds To Help Gulf Coast

For the last three years, the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders have taken bikini-clad photographs for their annual Eco-Sexy calendar.

The 2010-2011 calendar features photographs of the cheerleaders in swimsuits made from recycled materials taken along the shores of the Iberostar Paraiso Maya Resort, an eco-friendly resort in Mexico. The calendar will be released Thursday, July 8.

Ecorazzi.com reports the cheerleaders are focusing on the environmental problems facing the world's oceans this year, making a difference for the Gulf Coast by donating some of the revenue from their calendar sales to help the region affected by the devastating oil spill. Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit the Gulf Restoration Network, a nonprofit organization working to protect the area's natural resources for future generations.

As part of their Go Green campaign, the cheer squad will also be lending a hand on a local level, volunteering with a Delaware river cleanup project.
