Larimer County officials have agreed to settle a lawsuit against Sheriff Jim Alderden brought by a former jail employee who claims she was fired in retaliation for raising allegations of racist comments made by other employees.
The tentative settlement of $200,000 with Debbra Russell, who worked for the sheriff's office for 27 years, was approved Wednesday by the county commissioners on a 2-1 vote with Commissioner Steve Johnson dissenting.
