Sarah Palin's Web Video: 'Mama Grizzlies' And 'Pink Elephants' Preparing to 'Stampede' Washington

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took to Facebook to advertise her new web video Thursday, a SarahPAC production that pushes one of the conservative star's favorite themes -- giant mammals preparing to wreak havoc on Washington.

The video, titled "Mama Grizzlies," consists mostly of audio clips from a speech Palin gave to the anti-abortion rights group, Susan B. Anthony List, in which she gave birth to the mammalian metaphor.

"All across this country, women are standing up and speaking out for common sense solutions," Palin says over spliced video of women at Tea Party rallies and Sarah Palin speeches. "These policies coming out of D.C. right now, this fundamental transformation of America -- well a lot of women who are very concerned about their kids' futures saying we don't like this fundamental transformation and we're going to do something about it."

Palin continues:

"It seems like it's kind of a mom awakening in the last year and a half...Here in Alaska, I always think of the mama grizzly bears that rise up on their hind legs when someone is coming to attack their cubs, to do something adverse toward their cubs. You thought pitbulls were tough, well, you don't wanna mess with the mama grizzlies," Palin says. "Look out Washington, because there's a whole stampede of pink elephants crossing and the e.t.a. for them stampeding through is November 2, 2010."

Some political observers have speculated that this is more than just a video for conservative women heading into the 2010 election season. In many ways, it has the atmospherics and tone of a campaign spot.

Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic calls the video "an advertisement, if you will, for brand Sarah, and the variant of brand Sarah that's gaining currency in the Tea Party heartlands, her fiercely independent, common-sense conservative, not-gonna-let-the-government-win Mama Grizzlies." He also says that "it is hard to read this video as anything but a test of a much larger potential operation," meaning perhaps a toe in the water of 2012.

When she mentioned pit bulls at the 2008 convention, it was only a few days after two pit bulls escaped confinement and attacked a service dog recovering from surgery. The wheelchair-bound owner tried to protect her dog.

When she mentioned "mama grizzlies", I was reminded that she would rather let polar bears go extinct than accept that global warming exists. Maybe polar bears are socialists.

She will shoot mama wolves from the air so there are more mama moose for her to shoot from the ground. But mama grizzlies make a good soundbite. Just be sure you are not on her endangered species list.

Pink elephants? Does she understand the expression? Or has she picked something new to redefine to suit her own personal agenda?

She does know how to turn politics into a circus.

“World exclusive, NATIONAL ENQUIRER names Sarah Palin's secret lover!

Three members of the man’s family, one by sworn affidavit, claimed Sarah Palin had an extramarital affair with hus­band Todd’s former business partner, Brad Hanson. The affair nearly wrecked both marriages.

Hanson owned a snowmobile dealership with Palin’s husband Todd, who immediately dissolved the partnership after he heard stories the affair occurred around 1996 while Palin was mayor of Wasilla.

Palin de­nied cheating on her hus­band, and Hanson insisted to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER that he was never romantically in­volved with the 44-year-old Republican vice presiden­tial candidate.

However, Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, on the record, passed a polygraph test, revealing de­tails of the affair to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

“I’ve known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn’t until recently I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin,” Burdett told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

“Sarah was mayor of Wasilla, Brad became a city council member in the nearby town of Palmer, and they started an affair.

Another source, who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of repercussions, provided The NATIONAL ENQUIRER with a sworn affidavit attesting to the Palin-Hanson story.

“Todd was away on business a lot, Sarah felt lonely. Brad was a good listener, Sarah talked to him at length. Eventually, she real­ized she was falling in love with him.”

“When Todd got back from one of his trips, Sarah told him that she had begun to have feelings for Brad.”

Well...they also got the Edwards affair story right too. I believe this story about Sarah Palin. Her ethics and morals, particularly in office, have been questionable. She seems to lie a lot. I've also read that others in Alaska who know the story believe it......too much smoke without a fire?
