BRISTOL, Conn. — Jeremy Green, the son of former NFL coach Dennis Green, no longer has a job as an NFL analyst at ESPN after being arrested this week on a child pornography charge in Connecticut.

Bristol police say the 38-year-old Green was picked up on Thursday around 5 p.m. in a Southington hotel and charged with possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was presented in court Friday and is being held on a $750,000 bond. Police are not releasing details and say the warrant is sealed.

ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys says Green had worked since 2005 as a contributor to ESPN.com, but was not employed there as of Friday. He declined further comment.

A phone message also was left seeking comment from the Green family.

I listened to this guy on the Football Today podcast every day last season.

He publicly announced that his wife's divorce lawyer listened to the show every day to try to pick up any kind of dirt on him. He was sloppy. He ate bacon and egg sandwiches while talking and brought some insights but I can't say his stuff was overly informative.

The rest of the story is that this guy was ratted out by his wife's legal team, in order to extricate his money and lock up custody of his kids. And that's justified. But the guy has like 3-5 kids of his own, a lot of money, and he probably has a wife that's a lot more attractive than him which he landed while he had a decent job with the Browns.

Here's a tip: don't be a peddo. Also, when you have several millions of dollars, and a lot more than that coming to you in inheritance, don't challenge your hot wife to destroy your life, because that's the only reason she was with you in the first place.

And don't eat bacon and egg sandwiches while podcasting.

What is wrong with society ... isn't there enough adult porn for these guys to get off with?

A pedophile does not "get off" on adult porn.

You gotta wonder how this arrest came about in a hotel. Unless he had the porn strewn about, it likely was on his laptop and if he wasn't charged with drug distribution, no way that laptop gets searched and the porn discovered. The drug charge might stand but the porn charge? It'll get tossed. Probably only got included because of his semi-celebrity father.

Still, seeing as how his father was a head coach at Stanford, as a blue&gold-blooded Cal alum I can't help enjoying the moment. (Wrong, I know, but still somewhat tasty).

Curious how "marriage between one man and one woman" doesn't always work out so perfect.

Thank goodness the Defense of Marriage Act ensures men like Jeremy Green can get married and have children.

Hmmm.... ESPN, who will go to any lengths to give themselves as much exposure and attention as humanly possible... have not bothered to mention this story anywhere on their channels.

Interesting...

The stories involving Michael Vick and Big Ben got plenty of coverage on ESPN and those aren't sports stories either.

But when it's one of their own?

Go figure. I can see why they would want to keep this on the down-low. It's just so creepy, dark and indefensible, even if you know the guy.

pedophiles are disgusting..make no mistake. this is therefore the reason why we should be 100% certain before accusing someone of such a disgusting act because there is no way to recover from such an accusation...it sticks for life

No, it's better to have them in jail.
