Eldora Mountain Resort is suing a utilities contractor that cut an electrical service line to the resort while excavating in the area on Presidents Day weekend, forcing the resort to close for a day and lose "significant" revenue, according to a lawsuit filed in Boulder County District Court.
Paonia LLC, based in Colorado Springs, was doing excavation work on Feb. 13 -- the Saturday before Presidents' Day on Monday -- when they cut an electrical service line that provided power to the Boulder County resort, according to the lawsuit filed last week.
