12 WPA Food Posters

Digging through the vast online archives of the Library of Congress, we were struck by these magnificent New Deal- and World War II-era food-related posters created by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) to encourage the American public to do such things as: preserve surplus food in times of shortages, go to the store and buy real food from a real live human (sound familiar?), eat a well-rounded diet, and, for the love of god, DRINK SOME MILK.
