Gop Young Guns Book
GOP Reps. Cantor, Ryan and McCarthy are releasing a new book, "Young Guns," just in time for the electoral season.

Three of the GOP's up-and-coming stars -- the party's "Young Guns" -- have announced plans to release a book just in time for election season.

The book, authored by House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and subtitled "A New Generation of Conservative Leaders," will, according to a publisher's description, "outline a new direction for the Republican party in terms of engaging a new and diverse party leadership, modernizing and winning policital campaigns, and thinking about the long term policies that will show how to restore America's greatness by reasserting and reapplying its principles."

The description continues:

A year and a half into President Obama's administration, it has become clear that the voters' disgust with Washington has been mistaken for the desire for a far-left agenda. Cantor, Ryan and McCarthy are proud Republicans. But they believe that thier [sic] party has lost sight of American ideals. Through campaign support for those who believe in private sector job creation, maximized individual freedom, and a better America for our children, the Young Guns are changing the face of the Republican Party and giving Americans a road-map to get back to the American Dream.

The 224-page publication is set to be released on September 14th. A potential book tour by the authors is currently pending approval by the House Ethics Committee.

A reader over at Ben Smith's Blog on Politico notes that the cover picture is the same one that was used for an earlier edition of The Weekly Standard.

Ryan's roadmap has some glaring problems

I hope that the Ethics Committee sits on approval or disapproval as long as the repubs stall/stalled on Obama's selections to fill the offices of the business of the people so the government can run smoothly. That means, there will be no approval, no disapproval, just silence.

Everytime I post a comment about Paul RYAN staying home in his district rather than go on this Young Gun tour, it gets deleted. AND, there is absolutely nothing abusive about my blog on this. He needs to stay at home and work with his constituents. I think Huffington Post is getting loaded up with a bunch of right wingers hitting the FLag As Abusive. But, on the Druge page, you can't even comment ,so they come to the HuffPost. What gives?

I think the best place for these lying, cheating, arrogant, elitist, pseudo-inviolable, political professionals who believe that only they know what is best for others is Boot Hill. Young guns, indeed!

I find it hilarious that we fired them in 2006 because they were known as the "Do Nothing Congress". They claimed in 2006 and 2008 that they got the message.

But what have they done since then to address the problem??

Nothing.

The Republican National Committee has spent donors' contributions to making books on no strategies and no alternatives to President Obama's progressive agenda. I can almost bet a plug to Ronald Reagan will be accompanied to the book! If the GOP would actually provide a decent alternative that impresses President Obama, then they really have no clue on the merits of this presidents speedy agenda. I guess conservatives like the bills to be slow and tedious. They can't stomach his massive turnaround!

Have you even heard about Ryan's Roadmap for America? It did indeed impress Obama, and the CBO. Obama just didn't like it. The CBO did. Get your head out the sand.

You only get one response from me! If my head is in the sand, why would President Obama endorse three ideas Republicans put forth? I am not going to waste my time debating you over having heads in the sand! Get an ulcer over my response. But you are hands down defeated the moment you commented! If you want someone to do something, here's what you should do. Provide your sources and then link it up.
