What a joke you folks are.... Romney would be 5X the President that Obama has been..... The fact that a bunch of pothead losers from a state that s nearly bankrupt doesn't think that Romney would make a good President is hard evidence that he should be and will be....

I had to chucle out loud when I read that one of Obama's biggest accomplishments and general focus is his effort to "level the playing field"... In other words, take from those who work and earn a living and give to those who won't.... How typical of the "kick back, give me what you got, Californians"....

If I were you, I would be terrified if Romney became President.... The Government Teets would be taken away and y'all would have to go and actually get a job if you wanted to eat or have a place to live.

That's no cause for rejoicing, is it?

In case you haven't noticed, the Obama team has decided to pick Mitt Romney as their 2012 opponent. Makes sense, right? Romney would lose by 8-10 points. I hope the GOP's not smart enough to nominate someone more electable (if they have someone more electable).

Its so funny when republicans play with the security of our country to score political points. Eveyone is searching for ways to save money and drawing down obsolete nuclear weapons seems to be a good start. Especially, since it does the same thing to Russia.

Romney goes what ever way the political wind blows. There's not a principled stand within the man.

One more position of idiocy from the man with the magic underpanties and the Holy Republican Cults of Jesus Inc. The Holy Republican Cults of Jesus Inc are clearly seen as Anti-American and playing the kind of politics that Mr Magic Underpanties Romney does in this position of opposition reinforces the reality that these vile creatures are focused soley on their politics and not on the business or security of this once great nation.
The party of the Bush/Cheney Wrecking Crew and War Criminals are torturing America and Americans. They have no valid voice in government.

I'm from Massachusetts. From out of nowhere, Romney moved in this state and ran for governor. He won. His only accomplishment was making healthcare mandatory in the state. That's all he did. He ran for re-election and lost. He promptly moved out of Massachusetts. Welll, rumor has it he's moving back. Romney does not/never has cared for Massachusetts. This state is a stepping stone for him. He' wants to become president. He's useless. Beware.
02:35 PM on 07/14/2010
Sorry to hit you with inconvenient "facts" but here goes: 1) Romney did not run for re-election as Mass Governor, he became a presidential candidate 2) Turned a $3 Billion dollar State deficit into a $700 Million surplus by the end of his term 3) Instituted universal Healthcare to MA 4) Closed tax loopholes that added another 161 million a year to the state budget.

I have many adult friends that lived in MA under Romney and thought he was quite good as governor. I suspect you are quite young or intentionally misleading...
02:39 PM on 07/14/2010
Oh yeah, he and his family have lived in MA since the 1970's and still do....Do you research anything?

Oh, please PBO could have sent Malia and Romney and the GOPers would have still been the losers.

A girly man is a man who states that it is not important to help the unemployed, but it's OK to continue to help the wealthy and the fact that the rest of the GOP agree, shows who the girly men really are. Just saying.
10:38 AM on 07/14/2010
If the Democrats wanted to help the unemployed, they'd actually create some jobs instead of just trying to extend unemployment.
10:05 AM on 07/14/2010
Lugar dismissed Romney’s position as “hyperbolic†and said he “appears unaware of arms control history and context.â€

Romney is completely clueless and not in the inner circle to be making any kinds of statements like this. I trust Obama on this one.

Jeebus we all know things are bad economically but has anyone told this class of 2008 losers to get a real job yet?

Has Romney converted to a Baptist yet? Pretty much has changed ever other belief he held (or represented to have held).

And when did Mitt become such a genius on foreign policy. The dude needs to go comb his hair again. Mitt, you never were able to stay on your talking points anyway.
10:39 AM on 07/14/2010
Well, he can't be any worse than Obama, who's idea of foreign policy consists of apologizing to everyone under the sun.

Seriously, does anyone think those rightwing evangelicals would elect a Mormon as their candidate? NOT GONNA HAPPEN MITT! Especially since it seems acceptable for him to lie and change his stance on everything, depending on the latest poll -- a la McCain!

Do republicans stand for anything besides being against everything the President does?

No. Republic..ant fiscal policies have proven to be a abysmal failure and their foreign policy--well two bungled wars with no exit strategy, the axis of evil, and bin Laden tells that failed as well.

Republic..ants...no ideas. no solutions. no help. no clue...

Don't you ever wonder about these Repugnanticans who name their offspring things like MITT, NEWT, TRIG, OZ etc.

Is there a book out there somewhere that is called

"The Official Catalogue of Debasing Names for Republican Children"

Isn't it bad enough that these babies have Repungantican parents who will be teaching them to look down upon anyone who does not have the same exact values as them? That these poor children will go through like with nicknames like Muffy, Binky and Bubba. That these poor children will get to their high-school prom and freak out because each and every one of the others there from Stuffedbutt Academy will look as if they all had the very same parents?

Just awesome, Mitt !

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you for that reminder. That should be posted on The Hill comments section as often as possible.

I've heard of repugs paying people to post to media stories with RAH RAH RAH republican responses. If it's true they're paying them overtime for The Hill comments section. And the funny part is that there just so few lines that they use. They could just train a few myna birds to type, after all they'd only need a vocabulary of about twenty words like: librul, socialist, etc.
