The article didn't say what type of traps were set. I hope they are humane and the inquisitive raccoon will be relocated to a branch library somewhere in the wild.

Raccoons are not a big deal. They don't attack unless they are rabid and that is unlikely.

Ah, big deal, they used to walk into my kitchen and steal peanuts when I wasn't looking. Another one used to pass by so closely when I was outside that he'd step on my feet. Then I came home one day and he was eating my tadpoles like snow cones and we weren't friends anymore.
